Even if I fully disregard the movie (which, as an adaptation, was atrocious) this book doesn't seem to know what it's doing with itself. There is information that contradicts both that of the movie and of the book, not to mention information that contradicts information elsewhere in the book.
I'm always excited for more of the Artemis-Fowl-universe-based stories, but this was a hit and a miss.

Not necessary

I loved the series and was excited to see this come out but was irritated that things were changed, Juliet is the sister not the niece. Root is a guy, at least in every book but this and the movie. There were no need to change that in this story just because the movie made the change (which is whatever). The books should be consistent regardless of the movie(s).

This book was awful and redundant if you actually read the Artemis Fowl books. Seems like someone wanted to profit off of Eoin Colfers work. It contradicts itself and everything the books have worked towards. Would give 0 stars if could.

this book is alright but the thing is it's about the movie and the movie sucks!!!!!!!!! It's so inaccurate!!!!! like how Commander root is a old lady!!!!!!!! and they even say how all Elves are redheads and then they make Holly a long black-haired girl when she has short red hair!!!!!! and Artemis looks like a seven year-old!!!!!!!!!!!! over all it's very inaccurate

This is a book you read if you’ve read all the Artemis Fowl books and you are just really bored. I am not saying that this book is just to cash in on those fans of the series, but at least it is funny and if you have read all the books, it is a walk down memory lane. I did enjoy it, but it really is just for the more hardcore fan who will read anything that says Artemis Fowl. This is not a must read for any of the series, but if you stopped midway and want to pick it up again, it would give you a decent background. All in all. It was ok. ​

A fun read that ties more into the movie than the books. It seems to include some things that were ultimately changed in the movie. Definitely worth checking out.

Light fare, and entertaining. I think the editing remarks from Holly are a great tool in principle. I just don't think she'd beg and beg and beg not to be fired. Doesn't seem like the Holly we know.

وقتی چهارده سالم بود هر سال منتظر میموندم که نسخه بعدی این کتاب بیاد. پنجاه صفحه اولش یکم خسته کننده است اما بعدش و همینطور کتابهای بعدیش خیلی جذاب و جذاب تر میشه.
