With a Map is a special one in Yu Guangzhong's essay collections. Its 47 essays were written in the last half year in Hong Kong and first three years in Kaohsiung. These essays are the articles with reasons and emotions, instead of general scribble and pure literature. There is no much time for writing these essays, but I never cut corners in it. Even for carving insects, I want to conduct with the spirit of carving dragons. It needs to pay more attention to writing short essays. It should be handled well for the short essays. It needs courage for releasing and self-discipline for control. With a Map depends on the internal power of self-discipline of the essayist.
