A good listen if you’re considering opening a small business or have an ambition to become entrepreneurial. However if it is not your natural inclination it can be difficult to keep up.

The book speaks on past trends and makes references to early 2000 business trends. If you are looking to build a brand in modern 2020s, you may want to accompany additional materials as the book focuses on resilience and methods rather than vehicles through social media exploits.

Reading this book was like a light bulb moment for me. I, all of the sudden, came up with two ideas for products, and can't wait to get started. Currently, looking to get her other books and to bring my ideas to fruition. Wonderful, and inspirational.

This is a well researched, well thought out, well written book, that is full of thought provoking ideas for the budding entrepreneurs. It features a lot of examples on what to do right (and what you can do wrong) and finding the passion to start a business (no matter how crazy the idea).

Having worked as a former Enterprise Editor of The Sunday Times, Rachel has met a lot of smart thinking people and what I particularly liked was the examples of real people - what made them successful (and sometimes the mistakes they made). She gives some friendly advice, many many helpful tips plus helps budding entrepreneurs to find their passion and take that idea and run with it. An excellent read. 5 stars.

Read over the weekend, one of the books that I would definitely suggest to readers who are planning to launch a business, in a start-up stage or already making good profits. The book is staffed with real-life examples and particularly will be very beneficial for the UK reader as almost all examples are based on real brands and businesses created in the UK.

An easy read but it isn't at all about making a million before lunch... it is business basics 101. Great for anyone completely green to business, just starting out or with an idea or invention. The nice little anecdotes throughout though made it interesting enough to make it through to the end. For anyone with a successful business it feels like being taught how to suck eggs.

I wanted a book about business written by a woman that isn’t fluffy or shallow.

This book did that.

Straightforward, clear advice with plenty of good examples from entrepreneurs the author has interviewed or met. None of the subjective, off the cuff advice of many entrepreneurs themselves, but rather a good overview of the required characteristics to be an entrepreneur, top mistakes to avoid and key facts to keep in mind.

Overall a refreshing and helpful view on entrepreneurship. Disregard the grandiose title, this book is worth the read, especially for new entrepreneurs.

I had the opportunity to discover this book during my study in International Business. I can safely say that I enjoyed it. As far as I remember, Rachel Bridge always illustrates her ideas via real-life situations which have occurred to many successful business that we all know these days. Even though I haven't launched my own activities so far, I found the guidelines very instructing and I will definitely use this book when the time has come to start my own business from scratch.
