The first half of this book is a "guide" to applying the ninety-first Psalm to your daily life. But it can be summed up as "if your belief in this Psalm is strong enough, nothing bad will ever happen to you and you will be prosperous." I believe the author meant well, and I also believe in the truth of the Bible and that faith is a powerful thing, but I don't believe that Psalm 91 is about continual physical well being or business success or wealth. We are not promised nothing bad will ever happen to us. In the tenth chapter of Mark, Jesus tells his disciples that in following him, "You will indeed drink from my bitter cup and be baptized with my baptism of suffering" (Mark 10:39 NLT). In his letter, James tells the early believers, "When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy" (James 1:2). When, not if.

This book is an easy read while being an in-depth study of Psalm 91. This is a GREAT study! Did not care for the workbook as much, but the book was well worth the read and will keep you thinking!

A friend gave me this book and said it had a great impact on her life. I read it and was inspired by the spiritual truths the author pointed out. She explains the 16-verse Psalm 91 verse by verse. She has great insight which I believe is actually than hand of God leading her to write these truths. It is a powerful book that has helped many people. I am looking forward to God using it in my own life.

This unassuming, humble little book presents an In-depth study of Psalm 91, usefully breaking it down verse-by-verse. It even provides an extensive testimonial section at the end of the text itself, including a witness to the documented faith of the actor James Stewart (star of the classic Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life"), telling how he used this Psalm during his embattled service in WWII. Powerful. Comforting. Reassuring.

This is the third time I've read this book, but the first time I've logged it on GoodReads. Its a timely book about God's protection using Psalm 91. I recommend this book concerning faith and finding refuge under the wings of the Almighty.

First of all, I believe the author’s intent, but the book is written more like a condensation of sermons than a book. Often times the author contradicts or repeats herself in the points.

It’s a good read if you take it for what the author intends. Better yet, read Psalm 91 for yourself and wrestle with the truth for yourself.
