Richter and Tanner meet again! Tanner has a hard time staying in the straight life and out of the street life, and ex-cop Sandy watches his friend with both sadness and lust. When a fire in Sandy's nature park rages out of control, Tanner has to step up and give more of himself than he anticipated.

About the author

The alleged Vincent Diamond is a former Central Florida writer now transplanted to North Carolina. When not at the keyboard, I'm in the dressage ring, trying to pick up the correct diagonal at the trot--usually unsuccessfully. Diamond gleefully buys smutty periodicals for “research materials” and lists them on a Schedule C every year. The IRS has yet to question this deduction.

Not much to this short story. Mostly just sex between two old friends hiding scars.
