Fantastic commentary on Joshua. Boice’s words are practical, helpful, and encouraging as he communicates the truths and the drama of the text. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to study Joshua in greater depth, especially because it’s also relatively short. Great read!

Great teaching

Pastor Boice is a wonderful teacher and expositor of the Scriptures. He brings other teachers of the Word into his lesson that enhance and clarify some otherwise difficult points. Pastor Boice has a way of bringing the Scriptures alive and meaningful for a world today that desperately needs God's Word.

Listened to it via Audible+.

Boice leans on the work of Schaeffer's commentary, contra the popular evangelical approach of taking this book in a kind of analogous or primarily spiritual way. Good always.

Excellent thoughts and points made

Constantly challenging the reader, easy to read and clear application. It provides plenty of thought for both the preacher and the lay person.

Very helpful, especially with themes and over-arching views of the chapters. However, this is not a comprehensive commentary. Great for helping grasp things you might miss in the text.
