Selena Russo has won the coveted spot as a full-figured spokesmodel for the Rubenesque Romantix clothing line in Paris. When Selena starts getting hate mail, she ignores the warnings—models aren't known for their congeniality when they lose a big modeling gig. Especially a three-year, multimillion-dollar contract in the biggest ad campaign ever for curvy women.

Logan's a recent ex-Navy SEAL with a war injury, and his ex CO asks him to protect Selena while assuming the role of her photographer. When the death threats heat up with a dead pooch and bullets flying, Logan focuses hard on the sensual, violet-eyed beauty. It's Logan's pleasure to cover the body of a seductive, curvy, temptress, both in and out of the bedroom as their romance burns up the sheets.

I enjoyed it. There was a pretty significant romance going on. It delivered in all the right areas for a contemporary romance: hawt, sexy, intelligent, tension filled.
But it also had a strong element of mystery and adventure as her life is threatened repeatedly.

I personally didn't care to have all the oufits and modeling shots described, but it fit the book. In fact the book probably would have been less effective without it.

Not heavy in any significant way. No deeply emotional characters. She doesn't fight selfesteem issues that bleed all over the story. Even though there is death in the book, I never came close to tearing up. I do love books that make me feel very deeply. This really wasn't one of those books. It was more along the fun and interesting side of bookshelf.

Curvaceous, full-figured women, just like their thinner counter-parts, can have it all - a successful career and a handsome hunk of a man to enjoy it with. Selena Russo was quickly achieving her dreams in the fashion world as the spokesperson and model for a new full-figured, French clothing line - Rubenesque Romantix. She beat out many other models for the chance to represent the struggling French design house. It was anticipated that this clothing line with Selena’s representation, would breathe new life into the company and create fervor among full-figured women everywhere.

Selena is to begin a European modeling tour for the clothing line immediately, but the whole trip has hit a snag with a stalker surfacing to cause problems for Selena. It seems that someone is bound and determined to keep her from representing the Rubenesque Romantix line and is escalating their threats from simple letters to outright moves of aggression. Her agent, worried for Selena’s safety, has hired bodyguards to take care of her while she is in Europe.

Enter Logan Grant, ex-Navy SEAL and security expert. Logan has been tasked with the important job of protecting Selena while she travels across Europe shooting the advertising campaign for the line. Since Logan is a gifted photographer, he has also been drafted to be Selena’s photographer for the extent of the tour. For Logan, it all starts out as just another security job. Everything seems to be under control for him, until he actually meets Selena.

There is an instant connection between the two that cannot possibly be denied. As they become closer, Logan realizes that the stakes in the game have changed, and somewhere along the line, the world-famous model he has been charged to protect has also become the woman who has stolen his heart. Soon, as business becomes mixed with pleasure, Selena and Logan join forces to solve the mystery of who wants her dead. One thing is for certain, Logan will use all of his instincts and every ounce of his training to protect the woman with the dangerous curves who holds his heart in her hands.

Dangerous Curves by Cherie De Sues, is a great book that takes the reader on an exciting roller coaster ride across continents and timelines to experience whirlwind romance, hot sexual encounters and suspense. Ms. De Sues does a fine job of keeping the reader on the edge, constantly guessing as to what will happen next and who is possibly the guilty party. There were several times that I was certain that I had everything figured out, only to find I was wrong. Several scenes in the book proved to be real page turners, especially when our has to actually use force to protect Selena and perform his job as her bodyguard.

As a hero, Logan does not fail to disappoint. He takes his job very seriously, and is even more driven to protect our heroine when he realizes the hold this woman has over him. He would move Heaven and earth to protect her. His honesty in making his feelings for her known is also a breath of fresh air. He doesn’t beat around the bush. He lets Selena know very early on that he is attracted to her and would like to explore a possible relationship with her.

I was also very impressed with Selena. She is a strong-willed woman who is proud of her curves and takes great pride in being someone that could be an inspiration to full-figured women everywhere. She is gutsy and has no problems with assisting Logan in trying to devise plans to catch those individuals trying to do her harm. She also shows a lot of courage in insisting on carrying on with the modeling tour even though the death threats are becoming more intense. She is anything but a weepy, wishy-washy character. This lady has backbone.

Together, Logan and Selena, are just wonderful. Professionally, Logan brings the best out of Selena as she models for the clothing line. The ease of their personal relationship helps Logan achieve modeling photos that would have been impossible for any other photographer to capture. On a personal private level, Logan and Selena’s relationship is white-hot. Their attraction is instantaneous and the sexual tension jumps off the pages before they actually became intimate. Once intimacy is introduced, they make the pages smoke.

I really enjoyed Dangerous Curves and would definitely consider reading this book again. It not only was a great contemporary romance, but also a great story of mystery and suspense. I very much liked the fact that the author painted such a good solid love story in which the heroine, gutsy and sexy as she is, is a full-figured woman. I think that aspect will appeal to a very large audience of people, considering there are probably more full-figured women in this world than not. If you are wanting to sit down with a great contemporary love story that is laced with excitement, sizzling love scenes and suspense, then look no further than Dangerous Curves.

Monica's Review

Dangerous Curves is an amazingly suspenseful book filled with plots of murder, shootings and action. This book will have you at edge of your seat on trying to figure out who is trying to hurt Selena. Selena is one hell of a woman that is not willing to give up her career just because of someone trying to over take a company that has signed her up for a three year modeling job.

Cherie De Sues centered this book on a plus size model that is graceful, sincere and loves her work. Love how Selena, during her photo shoots, can have so much fun, relax, and know how to work her sexy dangerous curves with her new sexy photographer, Logan.

Logan is hot, sexy and charismatic and knows who to handle the camera. Logan has taken interest in Selena but does he know where to cut the line between work and pleasure? Logan knows how to appreciate the curves on Selena and knows how to pleasure her in and out. I can’t believe how much he loves Selena and how just looking at her he practically melts over her. The way they act towards one another is comical, there are some scenes in this story that make you laugh but also they will make you cry. Most of all get ready for the amount of love they share with each other. Their passionate nights are so romantic and Logan caresses Selena like she is breakable and adores her. Read this book, Dangerous Curves, you will not regret it.

Edge of your seat action, European high fashion, and all kinds of seriously steamy luvin'. When you sit down don't plan on getting back up, it's going to be a wild ride you won't want to miss.

I loved that the story was about a confident rubenesque woman who held the world in her hand. I can't think of another story about a larger size woman where the woman never worried about getting naked in front of a lover or the few extra pounds she carried. How totally refreshing! Thank you, Cherie De Sues, for finding another way to give Selena a real sense of flawed humanity without it having to be about her weight or shape for the whole book. *Climbs on desk to give a standing ovation*

This one is for everyone out there who loves a kick-ass heroine who sports stiletto shoes, not stiletto knives, and who is more comfortable with the shooting of a camera than a gun. Both deserve the alpha man in the end, this one deserves the picket fence, too. Enjoy!

I'm a sucker for anything romantic, but even so I felt that this book had the right mix of romance (with erotic moments of course), mystery, action and humour.

Usually, I don't delve into erotic romances too often, don't get me wrong - I'm not a prude, but I just have other preferred interests; but I'm glad I did give this one a chance. I read it in two sittings and it was such an easy story to get into - I was hooked straight away!

I also think the book promotes really strong positive messages regarding the fashion and model industry. We are constantly hearing about the issues plus size models face in the industry when compared to stick thin less-than-size-zero models. De Sues has managed to promote a positive and influencial message to all plus sized woman - through the form of Selena Russo. Selena is such a commendable woman. She is focused, caring and just all round loveable. She has such determination that you can't help but admire her and keep reading her beautiful story.

I would recommend this to readers as I feel it has such a good story line, that doesn't just focus on one specific area. It mixes romance and sex with mystery. Additionally, you really do fall in love with characters and the romance that blossom between Selena and Logan.
