Lessons Learned: My Journey From Contractor to Businessman
Being in business is like being on a journey where you never quite arrive at your destination, but every day you try to get a little closer!
Over my fifty years of being in the home improvement and remodeling business in many different roles, including starting and owning a business for over thirty five years, I’ve learned many lessons…many by attending the “College of Hard Knocks” and “the University of Trial by Error.”
During that time, as the song says, I’ve had to “dust myself off, pick myself up and start all over again.”
I’ve also been blessed with some great teachers, role models and mentors. For me, the teacher appeared when the student (me) was ready!
So, if you own a business or are contemplating starting one, I hope the lessons that I’ve learned, and shared in this book, will be meaningful to you and help you make your business, and your life, the very best possible! Sure, it’s hard work…but the results will be more than worth it!
