In Bear With Me, George "Papa Bear" Halas' grandson, Patrick McCaskey, tells this and many other stories about his famous grandfather from a fresh and personal family perspective. Inviting readers to share and reminisce not only about George Halas, the founding of the NFL, and the history of the Chicago Bears, this collection is also about what it was like growing up in the family that founded and owns one of the most valuable franchises in all of professional sports.
A very insightful and in-depth description of George Halas' life and origins of the Chicago Bears organization. Then the book randomly switches to random stories about more recent Bears players, then back to Halas/McCaskey family history. Just felt all over the place. Certainly worth a read for any Bears fans.
3.5 out of 5, some good stories, lots of McCaskey incite, but I feel like lots of it I have heard before. The appendix of HOF speeches at the end is pretty cool.
