this story occurs in a hotel near Sidney, Australia. Somebody wants to kill the Commissioner, but someone in the hotel knows the truth and writes a letter to the police. Steve Malone from the police spends sometime at the hotel to solve the mystery. He meets Sally Peters, who helps him find the killer. They both find out that one of the person staying at the hotel is not who he appears to be. Steve Malone and Sally Peters discovered the killer and stop the murdered.
