All I can say this book has some very weird short stories. I got it for free (thank goodness, I don't think I would have purchased this). British book. Some of the stories are actually pretty nice (hence the second star), but felt like some of the stories had a lot of potential, and it stopped abruptly. I wouldn't have recommend this to anyone, except to those that is just curious, like British stories, and weird stories.

A nice collection of tales with some weird and wonderful content. I enjoyed this more than I expected given its title. Was rather taken by the idea of a cholesterol goblin (Ghosts of the Greasy Spoon) and many tales raise awareness of animal rights and ecology; but in a fun way that children should find palatable. The science fiction tale (TheJugle Egg) was my favourite. Charmingly illustrated too.

Glad this was free. I really felt these were more introductions to stories rather than complete short stories. Some of them made sense and others did not. It reminded me of someone trying to copy Ray Bradbury's style and falling really short.

I did like the story of the children and the alien though. It was the only one I liked.

I don't know if any of these would really be classified as short stories. To me they felt like ideas that were jotted down and unfinished. I didn't really enjoy most of them as a lot of them didn't really say anything or make much sense.

Interestingly enough this book isn't available on Amazon.com. I guess it might not be listed in the U.S version or something. Anyway, I did not like these short stories. They are interesting only because they seem to be British in origin, and I'm a bit of an anglophile.

I enjoyed some of these short stories. I could see some potential for some of these short stories to become a little longer, but I'm glad I didn't pay for this book either.

Interesting stories. I would reccomend this book for middle.school children. Some of the topics of the stories are.scifi or parinormal. Though really good stories.

I really enjoyed this book and think Dandi Palmer is an excellent short story writer, I love the tongue in cheek humour in each story.
