My goal when starting this book was to at least become familiar with all the roles and features of Windows Server 2008 R2 - and that is, at least, what I got out of this book. It touched on everything - and in most cases went into more than enough detail to get me moving in the right direction. There is a lot to win2k8r2, and the same can be said about this book. The most valuable aspect is the theory it offers to handing "best practices" in the real world. Anybody serious in wanting to be pointed in the right direction with the latest version of Microsoft's latest and possibly needs to start at square one - should take a look at this book.
