Rush Keegan is a perfectly normal kid with a totally annoying younger brother named Max.
So what could he possibly have to do with Jonas Cutter--a mysterious and deadly pirate whose spectacular treasure was paid for with the lives of a hundred innocent sailors?
Plenty. Rush is about to embark on a dangerous quest to rescue his little brother. With the help of a family ghost and a doctor named Vink, Rush must confront the bloodthirsty pirate Cutter--who has been dead for over two hundred years!

This book is actually a two-part episode in season 4 (I think) in AYAOTD. It actually is written pretty close to the episode, word for word. I love that these books still stick to the campfire prologue and epilogue. It makes you feel like you really are listening to a detailed story from one of the members.
Once again, we have a conflict between siblings! I was today years old when I noticed this was a trend in most AYAOTD? stories. We’ve got a middle school brother (Rush-I’m guessing he’s around 12 or 13) and what I’m guessing is a 3rd/4th grade brother, Max (8 or 9).Rush has obviously moved into puberty and is all about the ladies because he’s trying to constantly put the moves on Sandy. He gets real risqué and invites her over while his freaking parents are gone for the weekend. Max is dying to have his brother’s attention. Now, that puberty has hit...Rush no longer has time for him.
Sooooo, Rush goes out to buy a magic kit to get Max out of his hair so he can put the moves on Sandy on their big “Netflix and chill” date. He sees a challenge in Sar-DO’s Magic Mansion that whoever opens the chest, wins a prize. He literally just opens it up and crap is inside. A dagger and a telescope, mainly. Sardo always looking to make a buck sees dollar signs because whoever opens it..gets the crap inside and he gets a payout of $5,000 by this unknown cloaked man. Rush takes the “busted” telescope home to his brother.
During his date, his brother interrupts several times because the telescope goes all helicopter possessed on him. Sandy gets the “this must be a bad time” vibes and bolts when Max gets almost sucked underneath the bed by a skeleton hand. Rush does the unthinkable and goes all “I don’t care about, I hate you- get out of my life!” Seriously, Rush....a little dramatic since he was never gonna score with Sandy anyways.
Basically, Max gets kidnapped and Rush must go through hell and high waters to rescue his brother from the evil clutches of Captain Cutter. Dr. Vink gets thrown in the mix and magically knows everything that is going on. He acts like a boxing coach, always throwing encouragement from the wings. Lol. Randomly appearing places.
Pirates aren’t my thing but this wasn’t a bad story and I loved that both Sardo and Vink were in it together. The end was my favorite when the two are being so them.
I really like book the tale of the cutter"s treasuer It is scary to read this book wow thing to pop utill you turn around the thing is cover this but is happend next to you.
