Ahhh, I remember the first time I read this series and this book specifically. It brought up a lot of emotions for me, as I’m the younger sister, like Erin, in my family. Not quite the same experience as years ago, but there were still twinges. Only two books left in this series to go!

Okay, so this book took an exciting turn. (I won't give anything away!) But I can't wait to see what happens!!! I really am excited for both of the sisters.
I am guessing that I know what will happen to Paige. But Erin I am not so sure about. I know what I want to happen to her but I doubt that will happen.

Paige and Erin are getting ready to head to London to film some new episodes with their show when Helen suggests making Erin a co-star. She thinks the way the sisters play off each other will cause the ratings to soar. Erin is game to try, but when it comes time to sign new contracts Paige refuses to sign until she gets her way. Added to that Erin is sticking to their no dating pact but Paige seems to be going out with Ben any chance she gets. When they arrive in London and the paparazzi swarm them, some with some interesting stories, Paige at first thrives in it but soon starts to crack under the pressure. Will the sisters even get a chance to star together before it's curtain for On the Runway?
It's a good storyline, best if you read them all together. Fortunately this time along I had just finished the previous book so everything was fresh in my mind, but I wouldn't recommend just jumping in this series anywhere. I strongly recommend this series, only in chronological order

While fashion is not my cup of tea, I have learned more about it and have enjoyed following the girls through this series.

Really good! I would handle the pressure of navigating the fashion world and dealing with a high maintenance sister by trying to always think positive and to try to do something that I like to do. If I were Erin I would have gladly accepts the role from being behind the camera to taking a more prominent role on the show because I think overtime I would just get bored just being behind the scene. To be honest if I were Erin I would of treated Paige just the way Erin did because Paige deserves it. I think Erin should sacrifice less for her sister (Paige) and to me I think their relationship is pretty much fair even though it seems like Erin has to keep what she really thinks inside of her. If I were Mollie friend I would help her in anyway I could because it seems that her family isn't really helping and going through something like that by yourself probably would be scary. If I made the pact about no dating boys to forces on the show with paige but then she breaks the pact I think I wouldn't be surprise because she's the kind of girl who can't keep a secret and who likes to have a lot attention. If I got offered an segment I probably would do mine on poor countries and who not everyone can afford the kind of fashion Paige likes. I relate most to Erin not Mollie because I'm not the kind of girl who likes gossip or rumors because I like the truth not something make up. No i don't have any Peacocks in my life. I disagree with Mildred that good fashion is worth the high price because I think sometimes good fashion is what your think of yourself and how you like your own style no matter the price. If I were Paige, I would of shut my mouth and wait till the negative comments went down. No, I never ever feel like I should look a certain way. After hearing about the barbie segment in the book I thought doesn't fashion really does that to people and it made me look differently at Barbie and my culture. Yes, the book definitely made me look at the fashion industry differently. It made me look differently by making me realize that people will pay a big price for fashion and that not all fashion are good. To be honest when Paige announced her engagement I wasn't surprise because in a way I always thought that Dylan and Paige would one day get marry. I really don't think Paige is ready for marriage because I think she still have a lot of to learn about being responsible. To me I think Paige is in love with Dylan because he's also likes fashion but maybe not as much as Paige does. I really don' have a favorite designer or style. I really don't think my feelings changed toward Benjamin because I still think he just a shallow, selfish jerk. The theme to the book is: Look before you leap; Things are not always as they appear; People are afraid of change but things always change.

Paige and Erin Forrester are sisters with a hit reality fashion show, On the Runway. In this 4th book of this series, Spotlight On the Runway, Paige and Erin fly off to London to film their show. Upon arrival, the sisters are bombarded with paparazzi and fans. Paige, the star of the show, loves the attention. Erin, the reluctant star, does her best to avoid them. While Paige thrives on the attention, Erin thinks many times if this is really what she wants.

What the public sees, however, is only icing on the cake. The real story of what’s happening between the sisters is a much better story. Paige and Erin love each other very much but when Erin starts getting some attention, Paige resents it and does her best to put her sister back where she ‘belongs’ – behind the camera.

How the sisters deal with their personal and professional problems is the highlight of Spotlight On the Runway. It’s interesting that these sisters are Christians and are doing their best to live the Christian life in the public eye. Another interesting part of the book is their debate on models who are rail thin and how this affects women’s body image. The pregnancy of Erin’s teenage best friend is also an interesting part of the story.

HERE’S WHAT I SAY

Spotlight on the Runway is a book for the mature teen. Both my kids love Melody Carlson’s books but I did not have my 12 year old Artsy Princess read this. Melody Carlson does a great job of bringing to the fore some real issues that young ladies deal with such as wanting to look like models, teenage pregnancy, sibling rivalry, and family loyalty. I really admire Melody Carlson in bringing these issues out through her book. This is a book that many young ladies will like, Christian or not. Her characters are believable and relatable. As usual, her book is easy to read and will hook you from beginning to end.

Guess what? I (accidentally, mind you) spoiled the ending for myself. So, instead of being surprised at what happened, I kept waiting for it. A+, Danielle, A+. Oh well, it was still okay.

This book has slight false advertising. Read in the description, it says "when Paige and Erin Forrester take their reality show to London..." blah, blah, blah. They do take their show to London. They do. But they don't do it until chapter thirteen. (Don't take my word on the number, I'm just giving you a rough guesstimate.) These books are only twenty chapters long, at most. So to say that this book takes place in London is false because in reality only the last six or seven chapters take place there.

Onto characters. Paige was Paige: annoying, self-centred and a total princess/prima donna/brat. Erin's getting better. She's smart and stuff, but she keeps giving into Paige too easily. If I were in Erin's shoes, I would hit Paige or throw something at her. Blake was Blake, pushy and jealous. Benjamin was Benjamin, self-centred and depressed. Dylan was so sweet. Mollie was great. A lot nice than the past few books. No Taylor or Eliza scenes and no real mentions of JJ.

I'm giving this book four stars. The beginning was about two stars, if you were lucky, but it did get better only because of Erin. Fran helped a bit, but mainly Erin. Hence why it got four stars. It did get better--kind of. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about Glamour. What I do know is that I'm going to have to reading something sci-fi or have a Marvel movie marathon after this series, to strength my brain power. All this fashion is turning my brain to goo!

Another reason for the four stars, was because it didn't have enough romance. And I still didn't get my Captain America cameo. If you can interview Heidi Klum, Kate Spade and other designers, you can certainly have some Cap./Steve Rogers, right?

Note: If this is your favourite book series, I'm sorry. I'm not bashing this series. It's a good series, it's just not my style. Get it?! Style, fashion? No, okay. I'm sorry. I'll stop.

Now to give you my opinion about the book, I will tell you guys that this book sorta made me cry because of the amazing things and quotes that happened and has been said. These two sisters really love each other and they are finally realizing that they need each other. Me and my little brother are really close so i really pictured this book being like the female version of us, because sometimes we really do fight a lot and argue and get into each others faces and start to do things we will regret but we do it anyway because we really adore each other. In the beginning of the book the Erin say "Me and Paige made a pac not to date guys anymore." This is because they don't want to let a guy break their relationship. That is a thing that me and my brother said to, we promised we will not let a fine girl change the way we act towards each other. Then in the middle Erin says "I never meant for any of this to happen" She was referring to the scene when the paparazzi started spreading false rumors about Paige. Then at the end when the Paige gets engaged she says "Through thick and thin we are always going to be sisters. This really shows a positive relationship with the two sisters. That is the only thing that you should really realize like the way i realized me and my little brother will always have each others backs. We will never let anybody get in the way of our relationship.

Another good book in this fashion series. I still can't stand Paige though, she might be the most obnoxious character Melody Carlson has ever written! I wish that just one time, Erin would smack her in the face when she is pouting and being immature! (Should I be thinking those things about a Christian character? Hmm....)

this was not my favorite book in the series. in fact, i stopped reading the series b/c of this book. it was mostly Paige's Queen B**** from Hell attitude that threw me off. the book in general wass okay, but it didn't really compare to its precedents-like Catwalk.

Now do have to say this was my fave although hated how Paige started out being selfish and such but it still was good none-the less plus all the different fashion shows and such but never would of thought to have the ending in a surprise at least I thought it was, never the less loved it.
