Self-proclaimed genius Nate Wright blazes a haphazard trail through the sixth grade at P.S. 38, where between endless misadventures, marked by complaining observations, he earns straight As and numerous detentions...

It's very hard to hate any book from the Big Nate series, with its clean humor suitable for all ages. A lot of the punchlines had me in stitches. Nate is a riot for sure. Even though this book collects stuff from newspapers throughout 2007, there's a clear structure in terms of events/sequences. How Nate got into detention, what he did during detention, last days of school before vacation, what happens during that vacation and so on. I loved how it wasn't all random. Be sure to check this one out. You won't be disappointed :)
THIS BOOK WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!! I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN THE DAY I STARTED READING IT!!! I'm already a comics fan, I always read comics, and actually, this was my first big Nate comic book that I've read and I loved it!!!! Nate is so hilarious, you won't believe! Now I'm addicted, and I'm going to continue reading these big Nate comics.
Fun read. Loved Calvin and Hobbes growing up and I heard this author was inspired by Bill Watterson. Wanted to get my nieces into Calvin and Hobbes and stumbled on this series. Will continue series

I got this series for one of my nephews for Christmas and I ended up flipping through it, then reading the entire thing from cover to cover.
This is the comic strip version of Big Nate (I thought it'd be easier for my nephew to read). It's incredibly cute and something that I think everyone would love.
Why this hasn't become the next big thing ala Wimpy Kid is beyond me. This is just aching for a movie version.
This book is a really good book. It has some words that are hard to pronounce. I recommend this book to kids that like to have to found the problem and like to sit and read for a long time. You will get addicted right way.
This book also did not have one of the basic story lines, but still enjoyable. I like this series, and some of the other related books, like the diary of a wimpy kid books. This book is a good book, as well as the other ones of the series, although there is really no connection between them all, and you can read them all in whatever order you want. I like how you can do that, because i don't have to go searching for the next book in the series, and i can just read any one of them at random. Other than all of that, i think that the book is good, and the base of the books, and i though it was funny.
This is the first Big Nate book I've read, and I can totally see why kids like these books. It's pretty cute. Nate seems to be what Calvin might be if he makes a couple friends in middle school.
I think this book is funny for kids and really good for middle school students to read cos' Big Nate is about a kid in middle school and how he tends to survive in middle school. This is Big Nate: Out Loud, Change Edition. It's all comics instead of chapters like the other Big Nate books that I've read, so read it. It's Awesome!
I thought the book was funny because Nate made cartoons about Mrs. Godfrey and other teachers. He is a kid who doesn't like homework and he gets a lot of detentions. I would rate this five stars because I love graphic novels and humor. For kids who like the Garfield, Bone, or Dairy of a Wimpy Kid series I would totally recommend this book!
This book is very good to take a rest between hard book or challenge books. I liked the style of simple characters and this book run through very quickly so I can have nice rest time.
