Elizabeth Ashford tries to escape her wife-beating husband before he kills her, by running into the wilderness near a highway rest area. Michael Enwright is a self-made millionaire and expert in high tech security. At the first rest stop of his long overdue sabbatical, he sees the fleeing woman and intervenes, saving Elizabeth’s life, while nearly losing his own.
When Michael’s help is misinterpreted, he ends up handcuffed and face down in the dirt before Elizabeth can set Sheriff Graeme Kennedy, her former lover, straight. In order to protect Lizzie, Graeme is forced to work with Michael and brings both of them to his cabin for protection.
Now Graeme finally has Elizabeth under his roof, right where he’s always wanted her. So why is he jacking off to visions of the drop dead gorgeous and take-charge Michael? Some things never change.

Raised in California, Laura likes it hot, which explains why she ended up in Arizona via such diverse places as Japan, Maine, and Florida, and many more places in between. After retiring from the US Navy, she found a niche working for land management agencies, including the National Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management. Though she has held many jobs around the world, her favorite was working and living in Grand Canyon National Park. Working (and eating) in New Orleans was a close second. You will find many of her books are set against the rich backdrops provided by coastal Louisiana and northern Arizona.
When asked how she started writing, Laura tells of waking on Boxing Day a few years ago, with a woman named Elena MacFarland yammering in her dreams, demanding her story be told. Despite never attempting to write fiction before that morning, Laura ignored all of the holiday visitors and the Highland Destiny series was born. She doesn’t believe it was a coincidence that the great grandmother who died when Laura was just a baby was named Elena MacFarland. Destiny does play a hand.
Laura became a full-time writer in 2012, and now she spends her time writing, watching her Arizona Diamondbacks, and working on her very own version of the Willow Springs Ranch in northwestern Arizona.
Hmmm...I'm having a hard time rating this book. You see on one hand it deals with serious topics of domestic abuse, stalking, rape, PTSD, war crimes committed in Afghanistan, coming out of the closet, etc. And then you have the sometimes weird, sometimes a bit too dramatic dialogue the characters speak, where despite some serious body injuries and trauma people fall in love in a matter of a day.
So if I take both hands and combine it produces this MMF title called "Rescued". The sex scenes were hot but I couldn't get over the fact a survivor of domestic abuse be so trusting and sleep with a virtual stranger in a day. Also after being seriously injured, it was like the injuries disappeared for sex and then reappeared the next day when one of the male character's sister remarks on how horrible he looked. (Let me tell ya honey, it wasn't so bad he couldn't get it up on numerous occasions through the night.)
So take the story seriously or as a joke?
I liked the premise, the characters and bedroom action was very erotic.
So I figured I give this story three stars. The story is not horrible but does become cheesy at times.
I was in need of some new bi-menage stories to read, so I paid a visit to the All Romance Ebooks website and this was one of the books I picked up. It ended up being a pretty good purchase. I liked this story for the most part.
Series Note: This is book 2 in the "Three's Allowed" series, about threesome relationship. I'm not sure how the two books connect; I have not read book 1. But I was able to read just this one with no trouble at all.
Summary: Years ago, Graeme Kennedy and Elizabeth Ashford had a short relationship, but Graeme's unsure sexuality (his attraction to men) led him to break up with her so he could get what he couldn't get from her and not break her heart. She married another man and Graeme moved away to be in law enforcement. Now, ten years later, Elizabeth's married has turned into an abusive hell.
She runs one night and is rescued by reclusive security expert Michael Enwright. When Graeme is called to the scene, he's shocked to find Elizabeth and all his feelings come rushing back. He takes both Michael and Elizabeth back to his house and decides this time, he won't let Elizabeth go. And with both being attracted to Michael, maybe Graeme can have both a man an a woman in his life.
But first they must deal with Elizabeth's abusive husband. Before all is said and done, Graeme's life is changed forever. They will all have to deal with the aftermath before moving on.
Review: When you buy a random ebook, solely for the type of romance it is, you really don't know what you're going to get. I've gotten some winners, some losers, and some in between. This one was mostly a winner, which is a happy surprise.
I liked that this book wasn't just a pointless sex-fest. There's an actual storyline with Elizabeth running from an abusive husband and then the search to find him and put him out of commission. It definitely adds some depth to the story and makes it more readable. There could have been some more development to the storyline, but it wasn't bad as it was.
The characters were also enjoyable as well. I liked all three of them but thought they could have used development. You get some backstory, but it didn't feel complete enough. The characters were a little too in the moment.
And of course, there's some hot sex ;) Can't have a bi-menage story without that. This is another of those where one of the men had never been attracted to a man before. That part was maybe oversimplified, but I didn't mind it too much.
It was a pretty good book on the whole. It could have been more developed, longer, but as it was, I didn't mind the book at all and didn't feel like I wasted my money on it. And that's always a plus.
WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex and language, m/m, m/f, m/f/m, bi-menage HEA, oral, anal, rimming, and masturbation

Review by Gloria Lakritz Sr Reviewer and Review Chair for the Paranormal Romance Guild
I liked this book a helluva lot better than the first one. It has more of a plot and back story than the first book. The characters are more rounded off and likable. Smut is thrown in here and there for flavor, but this story is suspenseful and plot driven.
It's still a pretty quick read, but there is something happening from the very first page. Even after the bad guy is taken care of, there are some unresolved issues that are explored and all loose ends are tied off.
This series is shaping up to be a pretty good one.
Another enjoyable suspense-ish story. A bit quick with the "l" word, but for two of the three it made sense.
Elizabeth and Graeme dated when they were younger. They were in love, but Graeme knew he was attracted to men and thought Elizabeth would be better off with someone else. Someone who could give her the undivided attention she deserved. Unfortunately, the dude she married ended up a bit insane. He was convinced she was cheating on him and beat her for it. Then made up excuses for why it was happening. She finally decided she'd had enough one night and tried to escape at a rest stop.
Michael was taking a much needed vacation from his high-stress job, and when he saw Elizabeth running from a man, he took action to try to help her. And his car ended up at the bottom of a ravine... thankfully without him in it. But then Graeme, the sheriff, shows up, thinking Michael is the one hurting Elizabeth. Then they all go back to Graeme's... Lizzie needs rest, and Michael is a security expert whose protective instincts have been pinged really hard by the night's events. So he's staying, too. Michael, of the straight persuasion. But what's this he feels for Graeme?
Of course, the husband finds out where she is and has plans to get her back and such... but the story in between was about Michael just going with the flow. And then about Graeme finding his new place in life and with Lizzie and Michael.
As I said, the "l" word was thrown around quite early. Graeme and Lizzie had the history to support that. I didn't think Michael, who was still struggling with how he felt about being attracted to a man, was ready to hear it when it was said. At the same time, it warmed Michael's heart to hear it.
Definitely a sexy story, and the crazy husband story was compelling.
This story is HOT. I really liked it. It is a short book, but the story is interesting and it has its twists and turns. The characters are interesting, the bad guy is very bad, and the three of them together is worth the time. They are sexy, yet there is a good story happening with their sexy scenes. Elizabeth Ashford has reached her limits. Her husband started out ok, but after a few tours overseas in the middle east, he has changed into a monster. After beating her and chaining her to the house, he decides to take her to his cabin, where he can inflict a lot of harm to "teach" his wife to be faithful. He believes she is cheating on him with her boss, but he took care of that. At a rest stop, she flees, but he sees her and gives chase. Michael Enwright is a self made man who owns his own security firm. After working tirelessly for years, he decides to take a sabbatical. When he pulls into a rest stop, he sees a woman running from a man and tries to help. After scaring off her attacker and losing his car in the process, he gets manhandled by the Sheriff, Graeme Kennedy. Graeme Kennedy grew up with Elizabeth, but they lost touch after a while. They had dated and loved each other, but the Sheriff had secrets that he felt weren't fair to Elizabeth, so he encouraged her to date Barry, their friend. When he deployed after marrying her, Graeme moved away. Now thrown together, the heat is there and they both want Michael. Michael had never been attracted to men before, but there was something about the Sheriff that revved his motor. Was it possible to experience a love and bond with three people? Could they even go there with the bigger issue hanging over them? Or will the bad guy ruin everything? This book has suspense, heat, sexiness off the charts, and more in the pages. it is definitely a reread book for me. Loved it!
This was a really good book and although I have the whole collection in a bundle I decided to write individual reviews as I read each book. This book started out with Liz running trying to get away from her crazy husband at a rest stop where Michael see her running and tries to help her he gets shot at. Graeme who is the sheriff of the small town they are in is also Liz high school boyfriend win he arrives he thinks that it was Michael who has assaulted her until he learns that it was her husband the guy he encouraged her to be with is trying to kill her. This was a very good MMF and this book had a very good plot. Michael who just needed to get away he works long hours and never thought about his personal life Graeme let Liz go once he is not going to let her go again. How Liz never realized that her husband was crazy or that she was fitted with a tracker is beyond me I guess it could be done. Michael is confused by his attraction to Graeme he has always been attracted to women had a hard time with his feelings for him and Graeme who knows that that he wants both of them and not just for a night. What I found kind of weird was the author never really told about how Liz felt I mean she thought it was hot to watch the two men be together so do I but I wanted more emotion from her where Graeme was hurt Michael showed more emotion then she did and he was still trying to deal with his feelings. This is the second book in this series and I really liked this one and can't wait to read the rest of this story.
I liked how this story started with an action chase scene and then went into the back story on the players.
Graeme is the sheriff in town and used to date Lizzie way back when they were kids. Things didn’t work out between them but now he has another chance to make things right.
Lizzie hasn’t had an easy marriage and is now running from her deranged soon to be ex-husband and is rescued by a stranger Michael.
Michael is a man who is just passing through town and on his way to some down time from his security business. He’s looking for a change in his life beyond his workaholic schedule.
The three collide and the sparks fly. Lot’s of hotness in this story especially between Michael and Graeme. The story itself is quick at 12 chapters but the time span is longer, especially at the end where a month has passed. I would have liked a longer book explaining the development of the characters during that time because I think it was an important but alas I can’t have everything.
I have one confusing part that I hope someone can help me with. WHO SHOT JOLYNN? Please, I can’t figure how she got shot. LOL
I really liked this story even though it was short. At a rest stop Michael saves Liz from her abusive husband and gets hurt as a result. The sherif on the scene shortly afterward turns out to be Liz's long ago boyfriend who left because he was trying to deal with his bi-sexual feelings and wanted Liz to have better. Michael and Grahme decide to work together to protect Liz from her stalking crazy husband and in the process come to terms with how the three of them feel about each other. I loved how this book shows insecurities and how they learn to love each other. All the characters are so sweet and loving.
The one person he loved but never thought he'd see again is in front of him. Actually she's under another man. Sheriff Graeme Kennedy can't believe his eyes. Elizabeth Ashford (Lizzie) can believe her bad luck. An arsehole for a husband she finds herself running for her life. Right into another mans arms. A strangers and an old friends. Michael Enwright. CEO and owner of Enwright Security just wants a vacation. A but if time to sort out his life. It's not too much to ask for. Is it? You guessed it. This book has some steaming hot erotic scenes and a lot of tender moments. I can't find anything I didn't like. Well worth picking up.
I quick enjoyable m/m/m that seems to jam alot into a short story. While I did enjoy the quick and interesting plot I felt that we just skimmed alot of issues and didnt really delve into anything to deeply.
I would have preferred a more indepth look at their emotions and less action. Or if we kept the action in then make it longer and really flesh out each scene.
I do recommend this for anyone that likes m/m/m it really was enjoyable and it covers all the bases but I wouldnt say that its the best that this author could do.
Elizabeth Ashton's husband Barry was an abusive man. Sheriff Kennedy had been Elizabeth's sweetheart when they were young but things had not worked out for them although Elizabeth knew he still cared. Michael Enwight was a self made geek/billionaire who ran a state of the arts security company. One night both of these men joined forces to protect Elizabeth and get rid of the abusive man she was married to. Some unexpected things happened and three people found themselves in love....with each other.
Read as part of the Indulgence anthology Millionaire Michael Enwright planned to get away and relax. When he gets between a battered wife and her husband willing to kill, his less than restful days are just beginning. Add in a hot cop who isn't sure exactly who he is lusting after and you have one steamy adult story. Definitely for open minded adult readers. May contain triggers for sensitive readers.
Wow Elizabeth put up with a lot from Barry. It was awesome that Michael wanted to help her and she found Graeme again. These three had a connection and it was great watching them work through everything together. There were some really HOT scenes! Elizabeth really came through when they needed her to. Really good book definitely worth reading!
This one was ever better than the first one as there was an outside issue going on. When Graeme was injured it seemed that there was more emotion from Michael then Elizabeth, especially since her husband had a hand at this injuries. I would have liked to see more from her. I enjoyed watching these three come to love each other.
This was a very suspenseful, romance. Three people Graeme, Michael and Lizzy were thrown together by Lizzy's wife beating husband.after he tried to shoot her as she tried to escape him. Being together so much, Graeme, Michael and Lizzy began to develope feelings for each other. This was a very good read.
This was a really good read! I definitely will be reading more from this author. There a great thrill, sexiness, and drama. I wish there was more though because I really enjoyed the authors writing style and wanted more of this story!
I really enjoyed this book. It was emotional and sexy. The characters were perfect for each other and I love that they had to find out who they were as people before jumping into a relationship together. The action was great the sex hot and the story was great.
A gifted copy was given in exchange for an honest review. (Indulgence Anthology) A quick page turning read. Fast pace, tortured souls trying to get happiness and incredible hot scenes makes this book impossible to put it aside. I really enjoyed reading it.
Really liked this book. Much more than the first book in the series. There was a lot more suspense and action in addition to the HOT HOT sex scenes. Looking forward to reading the next book.
Nice little story with lots of action (probably too much for 12 chapters) and I would have prefered a little more detail in some places. Good enough for a quick read.
I liked this story better than the first in the series. The characters were more complex and situation more emotional. I liked the characters and felt their suffering. Also a hot, steamy story.
