Two of these authors are favorites while two are unknowns.  These stories take place all across timeframes.  At the end, I will list my ratings, from favorite to least.

A KNIGHT IN TARNISHED ARMOR - (Jill Barnett) --
Fleeing a marriage she does not want; Lady Linnet hires a knight to take her to her Aunt Bess so that she can become a nun at Aunt Bess' abbey.  Baron Warbrooke has only one week to convince Lady Linnet to marry him.  This is one of my least-favorite historical periods (Middle Ages), yet this was a rousing, great tale.

A RIBBON OF MOONLIGHT - (Elaine Coffman) --
Caroline Flowers' guardian has died.   His estate has been inherited by Quinn Westcott, Marquess of Waverly.  He thinks his new ward is a small child and he arrives with a governess and a carriage of toys.  Instead, Caroline is a young woman.  He offers to provide her a season in London and a great marriage.  She refuses because she likes village life and isn't interested in marrying.  Coffman is one of my favorite authors and this does not disappoint.

ENCHANTED - (Alexis Harrington) --
Engaged to be married to the local minister, Leah Whitman is ready to take on her new life in only six weeks.  However, she is given an amulet that turns her future upside down.  Harrington is another favorite author and this is a great way to spend time.

THE GOLDEN MERMAID - (Sonia Simone) --
Dr. Sebastian Kane gets the notes from famed explorer Dr. Jolley and heads off to find the golden mermaid.  Jolley's daughter stows away on his ship.  I really did not like this unrealistic story.

Overall ratings (from fave to least):  Coffman, Barnett, Harrington, Simone
