Like BA this book was purchased to complete a challenge. What a great surprise to find it was awesome! However I have now come to expect this from the author. She injects her characters with warmth and personality and they seem like they could be you, me, the neighbor, etc. There are always little touches that make it real. Like in here when he is playing with the wand and she mentions his shirt is untucked ... and I totally got this image of a hot guy with a hot ass in hot old blue jeans and an untucked shirt holding the wand and wowza -- aaaawessommme!!

If you have not read Delphine Dryden do yourself a favor and pick up at least one book. You won't be disappointed. This one on the Violet Wand is unique as far as I know. You'll get a real spark out of this one!

This short and sweet book was purchased just so I could complete a book challenge. I wasn't expecting too much. I understand why the book is titled, Xmas Spark, but it really should be FLAME. This is the first story I've read with the violet wand in it. Now I want a violet wand set. HOT! Jack was a dominant man who I would love to submit to. I thoroughly enjoyed this short story and would recommend it to my friends for a great quick read. Be careful, you might start researching for violet wand kits after reading this book. I did.

This delightful short story has made me a fan of Delphine Dryden. She gave me so much more than I would normally expect from a BDSM short. Not only did we have a committed Dom and sub couple trying out Violet wands for the first time, but we get Katie expressing every surprising, wonderful and/or painful sensation, so that I felt like I experienced this myself. I'd love to see more of Jack and Katie, love them together.

this was a great and hot short read! i read it to complete a challenge, but was really glad i picked it up.

i loved the focus on the violet wand and its effects.

the story was fun and entertaining and was basically a hot hot scene with very little "outside the scene" storyline -- which was perfect for me! lol

this is my first time reading this author, but i suspect it won't be my last.

Wow, this short story really packed a punch! I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot and definitely got more than I expected. It was really great seeing the story from Katie’s perspective since she was experiencing so many new things in a short space of time. Jack seems like the type of Dom a girl would be proud to call her Master. This book definitely has me rethinking Christmas traditions!

A Little Bit of Naughty for the Holidays! This was hot.  Loved this couple.  But, it was also very informative.  I’ve never tried a violet wand so I didn’t really see the appeal, but the way the author went into detail really made it quite intriguing.  It’s also made me want to go looking for more book featuring this tool of torture. ;)

this was a really well done short that makes the violet wand sound truly intriguing. I was amazed at how satisfying a story Dryden created in such a short novella. I read it for the "X" but would recommend it for the writing and hot BDSM.

I liked the different perspective on using the violet wand. But to have the dude in the story only use it as a cover ploy just so he could get some anal from his fiancée was a cheap trick.
