Target Relationship TherapyThis book presents a clear and concise summary of object relations theories and describes the human psychopathology manifested through various projective identification. In addition, the subject relation treatment process is exemplified and illustrated in a step by step manner, so that it is possible to draw a clear picture about the subject relation theory and the treatment process. It is also interesting to note that literature and film materials provide an enrichment of the subject-related therapists approach in object relationship therapy. This book describes a therapeutic approach that places the greatest emphasis on the healer-patient relationship. This treatment focuses on the use of relationships in the treatment room instead of focusing on transference, defense, and insight to treat the patients pathology. The ultimate goal of therapy is to make a positive change in the patient s self - sense by using the therapist - patient relationship as a stepping stone for a more healthy relationship. In other words, the whole purpose of object relationship therapy is to provide the reader with a means of expressing the object relationship concept as effective psychotherapy.
