This is a very opinionated bio on Keanu, with quotes and material from gossipy printed mags such as the Enquirer, it critiques him in a negative way.

As a treatise on Keanu's career, this book sticks rigidly to the facts and figures, giving a blow by blow account of each of his movies and the impact it had on his career.

It delves admirably into the media untruths and hype, always balancing these with Keanu's own retorts and defenses and most impressively, goes behind the scenes of each of Keanu's movies, explaining details from set rehearsals and first impressions to character motivations and what Keanu was hoping to gain from working on said flick.

There is pretty much an image on every page, which is pretty cool for a lightweight tome (some of them very rare) and it's flowing and uncluttered but detailed and well written narrative makes for an easy and enjoyable read.

Basically, this is the best book available on Keanu Reeves, and I've done a lot of looking.

Highly recommended!

A very interesting account of the life and career (up to 2004) of Keanu Reeves, one of the most puzzling and charismatic Hollywood actors. The stories behind his role choices, the opinions of actors who co-starred Keanu, his passion for music, books and motorcycles, the glimpse at his personal life that always left his fans wanting for more, his care for family and friends, all these come to shed some light on this intriguing character, serving at the same time to enhance the aura of mystery surrounding this nice guy.

I'm a die-hard Keanu Reeves fan (LONG LIVE NEO!), so any book I can read about him is a winner for me. This one isn't in depth by any means, but it's filled with some cool pics taken from his earlier career. It's a keeper for a Keanu fan, that's for sure.
