Shape-shifters threaten more than a woman's sanity, when she mates the leader of the pack. Timbers life was always a series of foster homes. She was a freak with her ability to shapeshift into an animal. She never knew there were people like her, so when she learns she has a family, she rushes to embrace them with her open heart. Only she soon discovers they had thrown her away and still dont want her. Kane is overwhelmingly attracted to the beautiful, green-eyed, young woman. However, he sees her as an upset to his life and to his emotions, and he wants her gone as much as everyone else. Except, after tasting the sweetness of her in his bed, he cant let her go. The animal in him likes the way she sates his lust. While they struggle with their relationship, the sinister plots of someone in the family threaten to destroy the love and trust they work to buildbut then, they knew, all along, that evil lurks in Wolverton Blood. Warning, this title contains the explicit sex, graphic language, and violence.

I love shifter books. I didn't love this one. The heroine was repeatedly assaulted in the first 30 pages. When the hero comes on the scene he was an arrogant conceited jerk. He alternately insulted and groped her - acting as if she was his to command but worthless in her own right. And he seems to be the nicest one in the family...

I read about 50 pages and gave up so it might have gotten better, but frankly I doubt it...

This will never be one of my favorite books. The "heroine" (if you can even call her that) is constantly abused by everyone she meets and yet sticks around for absolutely no apparent reason. The "hero" is an abusive conceited jerk that mistreats the heroine at every turn basically because his family feels she is not worthy of being in their presence.

This was an okay story but not my favorite. It is a story of Timber who is adopted and has the ability to shapeshift. She is afraid of her change and looking for family when she gets a letter to join her biological family the Wolvertons. She goes to that town and meets Kane Wolverton. Turns out the grandfather Wolverton had done experiments with DNA and created all these half breeds. I did not like the way Kane went back and forth from contempt to feeling love for Timber.

The beginning looked promising, but after a while i drifted off and couldn't get in the story anymore. It really wasn't that interesting. So i dropped it.
