So far, this is the best book of the Knights of the Silver Dragon series. Something about this book really had me gobbling up pages. I have always loved shapeshifters, and this one is really nasty! I was also happy that the kids returned to the Dungeon of Doom, as this is a Dungeons & Dragons book and deep, dark, dank dungeons have always thrilled me.
Sign of the Shapeshifter moves along at a very fast pace and does not disappoint. Dale Donovan and Linda Johns have written and excellent addition to the Knights of the Silver Dragon series that all young adult lovers of fantasy will thoroughly enjoy.
This series is only getting better and better. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book by Denise R. Graham, Eye of Fortune.
I read this when I was a lot younger. I got so addicted to the series, I ended up asking for everything upto book 6 (from there it had stopped...maybe there was no 7 yet, but my brother said there was no more, it got discontinued, so I never followed up)
I don't think I can start reading this again... Looking back, it just isn't my type anymore, but as a children's fantasy, Knights Of The Silver Dragon definitely was the best.
In my story, I named my character Driscoll after Driskol here (though they're nothing alike, really!) HAha! But it just goes to show how much I loved this book.
As a young child it was a favourite as well as another book of this series. It was very interesting and exciting when I was a kid, but that was over 5 or so years ago. Haha, so I recommend it for children with an interest in fantasy and D&D. :)
