VIOLET EVERGREEN IN THE SEEDS OF REBELLION

Magically fascinating, full of suspense; Violet continues to seek for the truth.

Madam Crystal Butterfly's Violet Evergreen in the Seeds of Rebellion is a book that held me captive until I finished indulging my relatable emotions in it. After discovering Crystal's Curse of the Frog Prince, I become enamored with her dynamic storytelling techniques, characterization, and her novels in general. This was another fascinating read from her amazing talent to watch.

This book detailed the life of Violet Evergreen, a young lady who has been made to see hell by some family members who seek her custody. Following her parent's death, Violet had been accused by the Lapels of killing her parents because she had an unstable magic disorder. On the other hand, the Wilds were strongly opposed to this as told by Barr. Bartholomew, it was sad that the Judge hilariously granted the Lapel's custody of Violet. In my opinion, I think the Lapel had bribed the Judge to have been able to allow the Lapel to have Violet's custody, despite what Drusilla did to Violet in the court.

The story unfolds and the Lapel made attempt to marry off Violet for their selfish interest, they frequently set her up for dates, many of which don't work despite their attempt to make it works through the use of spells, magic, logic, and other things, however, before this, Violet had undergone a lot of humiliation and pains in the hands of the Lapels, they'd intentionally stopped her from eating in the name of gaining weight, they'd put a spell on her, restrict her from having the sort of freedom that ladies in her age enjoys, this inhumane acts, coupled with other cruel deeds from Drusilla and Victor made me felt sorry for Violet, sometimes, I'd wished that Violet would retaliate or at least challenged them, but the poor girl was meant to act, live and do things in fear of the people she ought to control, she was meant to live under their command, nothing less than servitude.

However, as Violet begin to grow in age, she begin to advance in knowledge and regain the consciousness of whom she was, thanks to some sincere family members that she could trust, they'd give her clues, tell her stories, and make her know the kind of powers she has over the Lapels. It took time for Violet to begin utilizing her actual role. She had faced heart-wrenching humiliation at the hands of the wicked Drusilla, she had been forced to go on dates with three men, until the fourth one turns into a mess like the previous ones, though, in each scenario of these dates, it's interesting to see how the story is so captivating that it had me flipping through the pages nonstop.

This book has amazing characters whose features made the book read interestingly, and possesses the feature of a movie. However, I was excited when Violet overheard Drusilla and Victor's secret plans, that was when she began to ask herself questions and began to seek the truth, it was obvious to her that something is not right with the fact that the Lapels are eagerly interested in marrying her off against her will. Reading through the unexpected happenings during Violet's birthday was another point to hold on to, the visitation of her friend, Zhang Li, and how she attempted to help her was pretty interesting, coupled with Violet's dates that at each point had a significant difference and role to play in the story.

However, I shall restrict from revealing further in an attempt to make this review a spoiler-free, but I'd love the reader of this review to find out for themselves why the Lapels are so passionate about marrying Violet off, as I could sense there is a despicable and secret agenda going on somewhere. I will also love you to check out if Violet was able to attain the freedom she deserves or if the Lapels will continue to take hold of her life forever, will she be able to recognize who killed her parents? many of these made this book read interestingly and I cannot wait to read the second book series.

Moreover, there is more to explore about the daemon attack and its effect on the poor and wealthy class, there is more to explore about the sudden headache that everyone feels whenever they're about to tell Violet a very important message, and there are many interesting things in the book that spikes up contemplation and meditation, a most hilarious part to me was the event of Violet's date with Damion, this part was my best part of the novel, I couldn't stop laughing, it feels as if I was watching a movie.

I need to say that I love the courage that Violet began to establish towards Drusilla, this was what I've been expecting from her for a long time. Once again, Madam Crystal Butterfly proves herself as a fantastic fiction writer and I'm so enthralled with her storytelling techniques, this made a list of my most admirable Fantasy novels and I can't wait to see how the story is continued in the second book series, Violet Evergreen in The Rebel Spirit. I'd love to recommend this book to lovers of fiction, fantasy, and literature at large.

Engaging and intriguing

Violet Evergreen in the Seeds of Rebellion is a captivating fantasy adventure that follows the journey of a young woman, Violet, as she grapples with the shocking murder of her parents and embarks on a quest for answers. Madam Crystal Butterfly weaves a powerful story of personal transformation, filled with mystery, inner turmoil, and rebellion against forces that seek to shape Violet's destiny.

I enjoyed Violet’s character development, as she transitions from a place of uncertainty and self-doubt to discovering her inner strength. Her emotional journey is compelling, and the raw vulnerability she experiences along the way resonates deeply. Violet is both relatable and inspiring, grappling with grief and anger while facing external threats that push her to the limits of her resolve.

Madam Crystal Butterfly’s world-building is immersive, pulling readers into a fantastical setting full of intrigue, danger, and rebellion. The pacing of the story keeps the tension high, as Violet encounters powerful adversaries and uncovers long-hidden truths about her family. The plot is filled with twists and turns, ensuring that readers remain engaged until the final page.

I found this to be a richly layered tale of loss, resilience, and the fight for personal freedom. For fans of fantasy with strong, evolving characters and a touch of mystery, this novel offers a thrilling, emotional journey.
