After a wild Solstice celebration, Dahlia Charming and her three best friends find themselves on the wrong side of the law. They have been sentenced to community service in the holiday dimension. Dahlia’s familiar, Stanly, has a lot to say about that, and none of it is good. Valentine’s Day has always been Dahlia’s favorite holiday and she is thrilled to find herself in Cupid’s territory to pay for her crime. She has been assigned to work for a super sexy unicorn shifter named Abbot and two equally hot elves named Macaulay and Taft who are in his mate group. Cupid City isn’t all roses and chocolates though, as Dahlia finds out soon enough. She runs afoul of more than one over ardent mate group looking to put their single days behind them, putting Macaulay, Taft, and Abbot in protective mode. Dahlia wants to fight her own battles and is falling for Mac, Taft, and Abbot because they let her while being supportive and attentive at the same time. The three of them believe they have a soul bond with Dahlia and are determined to win her over with flowers and sweet gestures. This is a light, amusing standalone reverse harem romance meant for mature readers. This book is written in 3rd person with multiple POV and has no m/m content. All the guys focus entirely on Dahlia.
I participated in choir, band and marching band in High school and have always been an animal lover, particularly cats. I enjoy reading, gardening and taking walks.
I love a sweet holiday read, and this did not disappoint. Dahlia and her men are all great characters, and all the angst came from outside the harem, which is always my preference. The holiday realm is a well built world that I look forward to seeing more of in the next books. And Dahlia's familiar Stanly is hilarious, I love that grumpy old guy. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and read it cover to cover, completely immersed from the beginning.
This was a surprisingly delightful book! I wasn’t sure what to expect with a holiday specific book but this was so much more than Valentine’s Day. Very cute, spicy enough and absolutely adorable with their interactions. This was a fun book to read and I enjoyed the very low angst and very low anxiety. I would consider this a comfort read. Looking forward to the other girls books in their respective holidays!
I really enjoyed this low angst story. It’s instalove on the part of the men and the drama is about stalking by men not in the harem. Low heat. Hea. I look forward to the next in the series.
