Books one and two in the #1 bestselling “Vampire for Hire” series,

MOON DANCE (Vampire for Hire #1)

Six years ago, federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home.

Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire...

Now working the night shift as a private investigator, Samantha is hired by Kingsley Fulcrum to investigate the murder attempt on his life, a horrific scene captured on TV and seen around the country. But as the case unfolds, Sam discovers Kingsley isn't exactly what he appears to be; after all, there is a reason why he survived five shots to the head.

Things are even weirder at home. Sam's once-understanding husband is becoming increasingly freaked out by her undead life. And when someone sends her the medallion worn by her attacker the night she was turned, Sam gets the message loud and her attacker is dead and she's next.

With a deadly vampire hunter hot on her trail and a ruthless killer on the loose, Samantha Moon is about to put this whole ‘being immortal’ business to the test...

VAMPIRE MOON (Vampire for Hire #2)

Private investigator Samantha Moon finds herself hunting down a powerful crime lord and protecting an innocent woman from her ruthless ex-husband―all while two very different men vie for her heart.

And as the stakes grow higher and her cases turn personal, Samantha Moon will do whatever it takes to protect the innocent and bring two cold-blooded killers to justice―her own brand of justice.

Sold! I’m now a fan of Samantha Moon PI

I love this character! From her personality to her internal dialogue, I’m addicted. What a fascinating read?! I cannot state enough praise and great storytelling. I enjoy reading books from new authors but this Vampire Private Investigator series of Samantha Moon written by J.R. Rain and Matthew S. Cox - thrilling, comedic & fun. So glad I got this first two volumes and I have to say the cliffhanger at the end was mean, brutal and Noooooooo! I must read the next installment just so I can find out who Fang is. Great job to the authors - kudos, 2 thumbs up and a definite 5 star read.

I really enjoyed these books, they are a great introduction to Samantha Moon. She was a federal agent until the night of her attack which means she now has to work to a different routine. She combines the role of motherhood with the role of vampire P.I. to the best of her ability. I will certainly look out for more of the books in this series

Great books

So pleased to have found this writer ! Well written and surprisingly deep books about a woman who is savagely attacked and turned into a vampire . She struggles with self hatred after she is rejected by her husband but learns to use her new talents as a force for good without surrendering to the unexpected joy of killing. Can't wait to read more.

Moon Dance is the first book in the Vampire for Hire series. It is about Samantha Moon who has taken multitasking to a whole new level. She is a mother of two, a private investigator and after becoming a late night smack for a hungry vampire, a vampire. She has to balance taking care of her kids, which is really hard when you are allergic to sunlight, running a P.I. business from home and dealing with being newly divorced.

When she is hired by Kingsley Falcrum to find out who had attempted to murder him, her life just gets more complicated. Kingsley is not the person she thinks he is. Samantha finds him very attractive and wonders what exactly he is. The chemistry between the two of them is palatable.

She works with a local police detective to get the information she needs to solve her case. The interaction between the two of them is comfortable and amusing.

This book is a great start in the Vampire for Hire series. I highly recommend it. It has several laugh out loud moments in it and you will love Samantha Moon.

Vampire Moon is the second book in the Vampire for Hire series. Samantha Moon takes on a case to help an innocent women get away from her ex-husband. She is still trying to balance being a mother, a private investigator and vampire. She has started dating the handsome Kingsley Falcrum but she is growing more attached to her online friend, Fang.

This is a fun book to read. It has plenty of humor, interesting situations, drama and romance. You will want to continue with the other books.

Awesome and very entertaining read...I wasn't expecting much because I found it for free on Amazon, but these two books held me and wouldn't let me go until I finished reading.

It was great, Samantha Moon is a hot, kick-ass vampire trying to balance her new undead life with her husband and kids while working as a P.I. There are both sad and funny moments throughout the books, I loved the bitter, kind of sarcastic humor that Sam has as well as the fact that she's slowly learning more about her vampiric nature and the things that go bump in the night.

If you like vampires and kick-ass heroines as much as I do, you should check out the book on amazon, I think it's still there for free.

This author is really good. Makes you want to keep reading. This book is about a housewife who gets bitten by a vampire, but tries to maintain a normal life. She becomes a private investigator, which is a cool job for a vampire. Can't wait to start the next book!

I have tried to get into toher Vampire books and just couldn't. These I enjoyed. J.R. is an author that seems so far I like all his books that I have read. This type of book really surprised me that I did like it. The only reason I even tried it was because I loved the other books by him.

Go, Sam!

Nice to see Samantha taking back her life and coming a bit more to terms with what she is. I was a bit dismayed to find a cliffhanger at the end. Other than that I loved this book.
