As the new chief of security for a bunch of overpaid computer geeks, Jack McKenna has far more sense than to fall for one of his charges. When Toby starts following him around like a little lost puppy, McKenna quickly forces himself to step back and maintain a professional distance.

But, when Jack hears some of the other men from the company hassling Toby, he can’t resist taking Toby aside and teaching him how to stand up for himself. And, once the lesson’s start, they soon take a turn into far more erotic territory.

This short story was first published in Kim Dare’s newsletter in December 2010. The inspiration image was chosen by JenMcJ.

Kim is a thirty-three year old bisexual submissive from Wales (UK). First published in 2008, she has since released almost 100 BDSM erotic romance titles ranging from short stories to full length novels. Having worked with a host of fantastic e-publishers, she has just moved into self publishing.

While she has occasionally ventured towards other pairings, Kim's first love is still, and probably always will be, Male/Male stories. But, no matter what the pairing, from paranormal to contemporary, and from the sweet to the intense, everything she writes will always feature three things - Kink, Love and a Happy Ending.

Eh. It didn't really click for me. Toby seemed a bit too desperate and pathetic to me. I do like D/s stories but not with such a big age difference, it feels too much like a daddy kink to me and that I don't like. As I said, eh.

3.5 stars. Good kinky free short m/m romance about a geek with a crush on the forceful security guard at work. When they're out doing a war games team building exercise, things get interesting.

This story wasn't too bad. I liked the alpha male gruffness of Jack McKenna. The story was very short so there was no time for any true character development. This story also had a BDSM theme, but only a light sub/dom scene.

A quick, but entertaining look into the beginning of a new BDSM relationship between a younger computer geek sub and older security expert Dom. Due to it's length the story is short on character development but you do a few glimpses into the personality of each man. Toby is a cutie trying to attract Jack, while the older Jack is trying to keep his distance until he finally gives him to what they both want. Its fun and lighthearted and leaves with the possibility of a relationship forming.

I'm not a huge fan of age gaps, nor of people being treated like dogs (even if it works for them, I don't like reading about it) so this one didn't work for me.

I found this a bit hard to read due to the flow of the writing. I had to reread some of the scenes a few times in order to figure out what was going on.
