The book is a gathering of accounts of Christians during the 8 year reign of Idi Amin. The accounts of the Christians who survived the terror are humble and play down their difficulties. This is a bewildering book as I never knew of this event. I knew very little of Idi Amin, but then realized that this was the same man portrayed in the film "The Last King of Scotland." Comparing what eye-witness accounts saw versus what sources, like Wikipedia, record are enlightening - especially how Idi Amin's 2nd in command died. It's a tough read and is a little known book, but it deserved a place of honor in Church history.

...Graphic, just read it to know what happened; but don't put your heart there.
