599.75 Bender. With the emphasis of testing, science and social studies reports for the lower grades of elementary schools have fallen by the wayside. I'm sure some schools are still practicing research on animals at this level. The series this book belongs to would be a great resource for such study. Chrysalis Education is the publisher. Tiger is written for K-3 level. The book has large colorful photographs and succinct carefully chosen writing with emphasis on information such as habitat, what tigers eat, how they hunt, what babies are called as so on.
