I found this book to be rather repetitive. Pinocchio does something selfish ,cruel or just stupid and fate punishes him. Then he swears to be good but he just goes through this cycle over and over and over again. Also,the blue girl was quit confusing. I did not understand her metamorphosis through out the book. I'm glad that the idea of wanting to be real has lasted all these years but I think all the newer versions are less hateful and give Pinocchio more emotion and depth.

Worldwide known Pinocchio's adventures are about Marionette's brainlessness and life lessons. It is indeed a wonderfully written fairy tale, which has a place of honor in Children's Classics.
