BILLY BAT 16 b Urasawa Naoki, Nagasaki Takashi latest work !! b
The work of an author who is reputed to be the master of Japans best cartoonist Tezuka Osamu, dissolving reflection and humanism in humans. A world of exquisite boundaries between reality and imagination is drawn around a scroll that can become the ruler of the world. It is a masterpiece that does not even breathe through the fresh idea of a combination of cartoon and reality!
Urasawa Naoki (浦沢直樹) is a Japanese mangaka. He is perhaps best known for Monster (which drew praise from Junot Díaz, the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winner) and 20th Century Boys.
Urasawa's work often concentrates on intricate plotting, interweaving narratives, a deep focus on character development and psychological complexity. Urasawa has won the Shogakukan Manga Award, the Japan Media Arts Festival excellence award, the Kodansha Manga Award and the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. In 2008 Urasawa accepted a guest teaching post at Nagoya Zokei University.

Now for a short resume of the events in this 16th installment: Timmy Sanada comes back to see Kevin Goodman, as promised, and passes the test... by default, as Mr. Duvivier, in charge of the recruitment process for Kevin Goodman crosses paths with a sniper rifle... We get a glance at how Billy Bat perceives the communication with attuned humans, in a comic-styled hallway. I'm happy to cross the path of trusty Yamashita again, who joins Jackie Momochi to help her solve her persisting bat issues :) Ultimately, dangerously ambitious Mr. Morehouse now owns the ominous scroll . We learn that the double series of numbers point down the location of the true Billy Bat entity on earth... Javier, in Spanish Basque Country.
Of course American History is incomplete without the 911 attack. So sooner or later this was gonna come. One thing is the JFK assassination arc was more suspenseful and gripping. 911 arc is a little slow.
Pues no.
4.5, I know these past 2 volumes have been setting up the final climax of the story but it does feel like the pacing could be a tad faster. I guess that if Billy can only be heard by “simpletons” then you really can’t get any more simple than Yamashita. I also do like that Timmy came back though it is odd that he looks pretty much exactly like Dr. Tenma from Monster, just very noticeable not really a bad thing

this volume was so epic, this introduced Timmy Sanada, Kevin Goodman's successor, Kevin and Chuck believe he's the right one to keep going to draw the story of Billy Bat's while Henry charles devivie believes he isn't the right one for him. Yamashita and Jackie met again and probably together they'll meet Kevin Goodman for what? we don't know. The end?! Bro I'm invested right now, this series is so beautiful

The first half had a really suspense-filled pacing for the JFK assassination arc. The Twin Tower arc is a mirror writing, or, at least, I feel like it's a mirror writing of that arc. This is going good. We have an in-depth information into what could've actually transpired. hehe.
