많은 독자에게 ‘인생 웹툰’, ‘추천하고 싶은 웹툰’으로 꼽히며 큰 사랑을 받은 네이버 대표 웹툰《죽음에 관하여》의 추가 에피소드인 외전 -이면-편. 더 깔끔해진 작화로 그려낸 외전과 미공개 에세이, 일러스트 등 풍성한 볼거리를 담았다. 외전에서는 서로 다른 삶을 살았던 남녀를 통해 삶과 죽음, 타인의 삶에 대해 이야기한다. ‘살고 싶은 남자와 죽고 싶은 여자’라는 인물 설정과 아이러니한 상황 연출이 돋보이며,《죽음에 관하여》특유의 기발한 발상과 반전, 탄탄한 스토리가 빛을 발한다.
또한, 3권에서는 기존 연재에서는 볼 수 없었던 에세이와 일러스트를 담았다. 두 작가가 생각하는 삶과 죽음에 관한 단상을 에세이로 풀어냈으며, 에세이와 어우러진 일러스트가 여운을 남긴다. 그리고《죽음에 관하여》에 대한 작가 후기도 있으니 팬이라면 놓칠 수 없을 것이다. 그 외에도 깔끔해진 작화, 새로운 신의 등장 등 전 작과 다른 요소들도 눈여겨볼 점이다.

I wanted to quickly write a review because there aren't any on this comic.
This is a special edition hardcover released when the series was reprinted. Unlike the other two which follow multiple people in vignettes about being revived / moving on, this story is about two people who died in different circumstances and now are meeting a god in limbo. He gives them a choice: if the man stabs the woman, they will both die, but if the woman stabs the man, they both will return to life. However, the circumstances that the characters died in has led them to be stuck and now they're at an impasse as to what will happen and what they'll do.
It's a simple conversation through the format of a comic - this series isn't going to teach you anything except live life doing what you're afraid to do, because you may miss out on being able to do it at all.
The characters in this book faced different experiences in life which contributes to their opinions; if there's one thing to say about it, I did like how it did slightly twist the genders of the characters in that the woman is the one who experienced hardship with relationships VS the man. Commonly we see the lonely man being a trope.
Anyway, very trope heavy and truly a Korean story (you know how they are when it comes to the human condition...), but still worth a read.
