This is a comprehensive and exhaustive look at the hieroglyphs of the Mayan Peoples. As a lay person I found this book thoroughly enjoyable and easy to comprehend. The lay out makes it easily accessible to the novice. I found it extremely rewarding to actually be able to pick out and understand some of writing on the ruins I was able to visit.
