기대보다 훌륭하지는 않았다.반전은 예상이 가능했다. 뒤로 갈수록 흡입력은 있었으나 초반부의 지루함을 무시하기는 쉽지 않았다. 별하나는 줄거리에, 나머지 별 하나는 씁쓸한 여운 (아주 개인적인 소감이다) 때문에 뺐다. 마지막 대사가 강렬하고 나는 최주상이 되어 그의 답을 말할 수 있었다. 닫힌 해피엔딩이 아니라, 어떤 소감을 느껴야 할지 잘 모르겠다. 시간에 같힌 여준이 가엽다가도 그가 원하는 것임에 행복히 지켜봐야하나 라는 생각도 든다. 백년의 시간을 살아 결국 모두를 살리는 서리에게 복원자가 쥐여든건 생명체의 의지가 아니었을까

A familiar plot, reminiscent of a film Edge of Tomorrow mixed with a generic Korean gangster/cop genre and finally X-men, or any sort that deals with the fear of the unknown other and the violence that is implicated from it. A story arc told from viewpoints of multiple characters, with a de facto main being a strong and compassionate woman.
The book reads okay in that it's an interesting take - a Korean spin - on a familiar story. On the downside, it's exhaustively written, or it reads belabored, not in a Kafkaesque sense but what I believe is from insufficient editing. Also very violent to the point that violence becomes meaningless. Lastly, the villain is not at all interesting. I skimmed through some parts throughout where I felt are superfluous or too familiar.
On a separate note, I'm not having luck in my choice of books as of late. Sigh.

완벽한 한국형 sf 소설이였다.
시선을 끄는 도입부에 빨려 들어가는 듯한 느낌이 한국문학에서는 오랜만에
느껴보는 것이였다. 친구의 추천과 극찬에 세뇌(?)를 당해서인지는 모르겠지만
많은 분들이 지루하다고 평하였던 소설의 전반부도 어렵지 않게 읽어 내려갈 수 있었던 것 같다.
읽어나고 있는 사건들 때문인지 반전은 내게 매우 크게 다가왔고 플롯 또한 매우 짜임새 있다고 생각한다.
한국에서는 쉽게 접할 수 없는 완성도 높은 sf 소설이였다.
인물들 또한 새롭게 다가왔다.
정여준은 그저 완벽한 영웅 같은 인물이 아니기에 더욱 마음에 들었다.
이찬 같은 경우는 한국문학에서 쉽게 볼 수 있는 인물이지만 이 소설에는, 정여준에는 꼭 필요한 인물이였다고
생각한다. 윤서리 또한 한국소설의 흔한 패턴을 따라가지 않았기에 매력적이였다.
쓸데 없이 화이팅이 넘치거나 지나치게 돌발적이지 않았기에 sf를 보다 현실적으로 만들어주지 않았나 싶다.
가끔 힘이 들어간 대사가 보였지만 그런 점만 제외한다면 정말 더할 나위 없는 소설이였다.
많은 분들이 읽어보았으면 한다.
