Dear Santa

Rate this book
Dear Santa. Please bring my soldier home to me.She wrote those words on a piece of paper and tied it on the Christmas tree in the center of small town Paradise, Oklahoma. Their eyes had met across a busy FOB while supply trucks rolled by and humvees were parked for repairs. Not the best situation for a new romance to bloom, but when Specialist First Class Kimberly Albright met the blue green eyes of Staff Sergeant Ace Cameron across the dry desert sand, the attraction was palpable. The longing that bloomed that month of November in Iraq was something they couldn’t deny. With each secret kiss or a few hours of desperate passion they knew could cost them their careers, the connection grew to love. Everything about their relationship was secret, and weeks before Christmas Kimberly was sent home. Ace promised he would be on her doorstep on Christmas day, a vow she hoped he would keep. On the forbidden road between desire and passion, will Kimberly’s heart be shattered if her Christmas miracle doesn’t come through?

The book brought the full emotional upheaval. As a former soldier and wife to a soldier who served during a war I understood and felt each emotion Kimberly felt. This is a very enjoyable read and will take you back to friendships and times that only a soldier would understand.

Note on the Tree

This was a sweet Christmas story. Although our main characters fell in love quickly, you could believe that a life and death situation will do that. There is just enough drama to keep it interesting and just enough love to make it believable.

Cute

Most of this book covers the relationship while they were overseas, but it works with the length instead of against it. Very cute story.

Kimberly and Ace's story got to me. They are both deplored at the same base and fireworks start with the first look. Then its all about their journey of love. After Kimberly goes home she is waiting for Ace to come home to her alive and in one piece. I LOVED this story, it was romantic/moving and it touched me! It give me a little insight into how hard it must be for couples and families who have loved ones in the forces. That takes a special kind of love and strength. I would read this story again!

Super military love story

They were sensational together. I loved how they embraced being soldiers and loving one another through it all. She never lost faith in Ace. He used her as his guide back from a mission gone wrong. There was a great gift waiting for him when he finally came home.

True Love

I loved this story. This is a short story about two Military people who meet and fall in love. Only thing I I can say, wish it would have been a little longer. Wanted to know the sex of the child.
