“Simon Henry was all business — fish business.”

Simon Henry could catch any fish in the river, he never smiled and dancing just hurt his feet. And he didn’t have time for fishing stories of socializing at Potato Kelly’s Bait and Chowder Shop. So, he hasn’t heard the stories about Oscar, a catfish who “ate everything from soap to french fries.” But he’s already met Oscar ... he has stolen Henry’s best bait more than once. So Henry is determined to catch that fish, though Potato Kelly tells him he doesn’t stand a chance.

And so begins the battle between man and fish, with a whole town looking on.
