The first grill-centric cookbook from Sam the Cooking Guy! Do you like to grill, but are bored out of your mind by cooking the same old stuff? Or maybe you never cook outside because the equipment intimidates you. Whatever the reason, this book is for you. Just Grill This! features Sam the Cooking Guy’s simple and occasionally unconventional recipes for cooking anything on the grill. With his trademark irreverence and humor, Sam demystifies the age-old process of cooking with fire—and he leaves nothing out. As my skills have passed beyond hotdogs and hamburgers, I have begun collecting grilling cookbooks to expand my recipe collection. Not only are the recipes in this book achievable, they are also different without being *too* different, and delicious as well. The book is also an entertaining read, though sometimes the snark level goes a little over-the-top for my taste.

I have prepared a bunch of recipes so far and all have turned out well. I needed to tweak the seasoning on a few things, but that is to be expected. The sandwich chapter is especially good!

The only reason I didn't give the book the full 5 stars is because some of the instructions seemed more like author's notes rather than helpful instructions. "Preheat the grill"... low? Medium? Hot? "Cook until done"... ...um... OK, but how will I know if I've never cooked this before? Stuff like that.

On the other hand, the book hasn't been retired to the cookbook shelf since I brought it home and there are still a few new things I want to try. Definitely a keeper.

I liked this cookbook and look forward to trying several new rubs, marinades, and ideas, like Herbed Steak Butter, Carne Asada, Jalapeno-Garlic Bread, and Grilled Mango Dessert Tacos...mmm!

I liked this book, it didn't have a lot of pictures but the recipes looked good.
