A good book to read AFTER reading 'Learning From Experience.' Once you can understand concepts like container/contained, paranoid-schizoid position (PS) and depressive position (D), L/H/K links (as well as -K, etc.), you'll be ready for this book. Bion makes an interesting elaboration on the Oedipus myth, discussing the resistance to gaining knowledge (-K) as symbolized by Tiresias's reluctance to tell Oedipus that he's the one guilty of killing his father Laius. Finally, this book helps us understand the meaning of the grid, and how it's used as an aid in analysis.
