This was one of my favorite series as a young teenager. Reads like an edgy Nancy Drew. Probably would have rated it higher back then, but even now it was still an interesting read with plenty of suspects to keep you guessing.

Once again, I was very happy with another mystery featuring amateur sleuth, Jennie McGrady. In particular I appreciated the great set-up for the next book in the series. The ending felt very similar to Nancy Drew in which you are introduced to a new mystery that will be featured in the next installment.

This book has developments surrounding Jennie's mom and her attempts at finding love again. It also has a younger age group as the suspects and targets of the mystery. There is a lot of drug use and injuries in the plot, keeping the pace of the book fast and engaging. Another great mystery read!

(5☆ Would recommend & would read again)
I read 2 books out of this series when I was 13 and I remember really liking them. I decided to buy the entire series as an adult and read through the series. As an adult, I still really enjoy this series. Would definitely recommend.

This was pretty good. It was interesting and the bad guy was unexpected. I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the other ones.

Well written...had not idea who did it till the end!

This story begins with a reporter, Nancy Edward, questioning Jennie McGrady about the missing children in the last book. Jennie was exhausted after rescuing her brother, Nick, & his friend Hanna Stuart. Susan McGrady, Jennie's mom, put an end to the press conference. Having the press conference at the Hilton in downtown Portland was J.B.'s (Jennie's grandmother's new husband) idea, so they could also celebrate. J.B agreed to a few more questions, then they left. Gavin Winslow, a reporter for the high school newspaper, followed them out. He had a summer job at "The Oregonian" & had been assigned the story because he knew Jennie. She agreed to an interview the next day, she was both excited by & dreaded the prospect!

This book was amazing! I have read it before, but I am re-reading the series. The plot was so good. I thought what happened with Lisa added a lot to the book. The person that was the almost-murderer was not the person I expected and was just as thrilling as reading it the first time. Basically, Jennie gets a phone call from Courtney Evens and kinda weird girl from her school asking for help after she finds out she just found her missing brother. Jennie gets involved in this mystery and leads to a thrilling case, that might involve drugs. Many people get hurt including Jennie. This book was so fast pace and thrilling!
