Bardzo fajna książka, którą bardzo fajnie się czyta, ale czegoś mi jednak zabrakło. Z jednej strony fajne jest to pozostawienie tajemnicy, a z drugiej odrobinę to frustrujące. Koniec książki pozostawia poniekąd otwarte drzwi, które mogłyby poprowadzić do odkrywania dalszych sekretów drogiej siostry Juany.
Ta książka, to historia tego co ludzkie - miłości, zazdrości, pożądania, słabości, pychy, zakłamania i wielu innych, nie obcyvh nam, cech. Czas i lokalizacja tej opowieści nie do końca ma znaczenie, ponieważ silne i inteligentne kobiety nawet obecnie nie mają życia usłanego różami, szczególnie jeśli nie pochodzą z domu, który mógłby je wspierać (również finansowo).
Życie głównej bohaterki (Juany), to seria niefortunnych (delikatnie mówiąc) wydarzeń, które przetykane były jednak okresami szczęścia.
Życie drugiej (prawie głównej) bohaterki jest przykładem na to, że przeszłość może nieźle namieszać w teraźniejszości i nie wszystko jest takie, jakim się wydaje.
Opowieść zatacza koło, przez co staje się odbiciem samej siebie i sądzę, że tak będzie ad infinitum.
Jest w tej książce coś poruszającego, co skojarzyło mi się zarówno ze stylem Jaume Cabre (czy raczej jego tłumacza na polski), jak i z tajemnicami prawie jak z "Kodu Da Vinci". Mam też nieodparte wrażenie, że Almodovar zrobiłby z tego świetny film :)
Ta książka na pewno zostanie w mojej głowie na dłużej.

De todos las novelas que he leído sobre Sor Juana Inez de La Cruz, esta es la más atrevida. Bueno, la única que ha pintado a Sor Juana como una mujer con una sexualidad normal la cual tuvo consecuencias. Confieso que mientras leía no me agradaba leer sobre esta otra Sor Juana. Será un sacrilegio, pero casi la tengo al nivel de la Virgen.

Pero también estoy consciente del tiempo que le tocó vivir. Mujeres eran solamente objetos que no tenían valor, hasta las mujeres de altos niveles/riqueza tenía que tolerar abusos.

La debilidad de la novela es la historia de Laura Ulloa. Al principio estaba interesante pero luego el intentar de hacer la novela misterio le fallo. Las amenazas, el intento de asesinato y la descendencia se me hizo muy a la Dan Brown pero sin éxito.

Równolegle z wspomnieniami siostrzenicy o ciotce Juanie ukazana jest współczesna Hiszpania związana z Laurą i Meno. Dlaczego będzie grozić im niebezpieczeństwo, jakie sekrety miała Siostra Juana, czy zaginiony portret istnieje, czym jest tajemnicza skrzynka - na te i inne pytania odnajdziecie odpowiedź w tej książce 😉 Jak dla mnie przyjemna lektura, która ma w sobie tajemnice. Polecam 4/5

Me gusto la perspectiva como escritora que la autora le da, feminista, a la vanguardia y que presenta un personaje tan "intocable" para la historia mexicana, como una mujer normal y a la vez singular tratando de sobrevivir en una época gobernada más aun por hombre y abriéndose camino aprovechando las circunstancias que enfrentaba.

This is one of those books which just the title is enough to catch your attention and makes you want to read it or at least digure what it is about.
All through history there are women who have defied their time and society. Women who seem to be in the wrong time. Women with such will and strenght thatbmade them be persecuted in their time.
Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz fits into that category. The place she holds in latin american literature is rightfully earned. Her place in history is a bit different. Not much is known about her life, both outside the convent and in it. There has always been lots of questioning on how a cloister nun could have such knowledge about life and men. She has been the inspiration of so many books, analysis, articles, I guess even she would be impressed.
However, this is a very different approach to Juana's life. At least for me, it's the first time I see someone really looking into the woman underneath the clothes. The girl who had no choice but to become a nun. The woman who was awere that she was much more intelligent than most of the men in high rank positions in Mexico and of some of the ones in Spain.
The praise I've heard about her has almost always been in reference to her intelligence, never to her physical appearance or her people skills. Kyra Galván is showing us how Sor Juana would be seen then and even now. A woman in a place and situation she never wanted for herself, but trying to make the best out of it. For her and those she cares for. It sounds like what any woman now a days does in a regular basis. Even those close to her never really understood her. And yet, they followed her like bees to honey.
I can't say I agree entirely with this image of Sor Juana, but I am gald to have found someone willing to show us a very strong woman fighting against social and political expectations. I should correct my last sentence, not a woman, two women. Laura Ulloa, one of the other main characters is also an intelligent independent woman whose work suddenly and misteriously puts her in a situation not so different than the one she is encountering in her research.
Without realizing it, she is looking at information never before heard about. Will she follow Juana's path or pick her own? Is it all worth it? These are two questions women now adays face constantly, is it so different when it's a XVIIth Century cloister nun?

Kyra Galván w swojej powieści podejmuje temat siostry Juany Inés de la Cruz - XVI-wiecznej meksykańskiej zakonnicy, pisarki i astronomki. I robi to bardzo wprawnie, za pomocą Laury - głównej bohaterki, która podejmuje się w ramach swoich badań odkrycia tajemnicy, jaka stoi za tą postacią, i to z jej perspektywy widzimy wydarzenia. Książka niesamowicie wciąga, interesującym zabiegiem jest tu połączenie losów Laury oraz siostry Juany, przez co intrygują nie tylko losy meksykańskiej zakonnicy, ale i studentki, która odkrywa kolejne karty jej historii, dotąd przykryte warstewką kurzu.
"Niewyznane grzechy..." to napisana lekkim piórem powieść podejmująca temat dawnego zakonu, zakazanej miłości oraz układów i intryg, przeplatana problemami współczesnej kobiety. Zasłużone cztery gwiazdki.
