Rate this book
A precursor to DK's award-winning Eyewitness series, Eye Wonder was specially developed for children aged five plus, featuring astonishing photography exhibiting subjects within their natural setting, offering a whole new level of information through powerful images. Each title in the series now contains educational activities including true and false questions, quizzes, matching games, and mazes. Vocabulary is accessible to young readers, with the meanings of new, subject-related words clearly explained. The combination of visuals and informative, accurate text will hook even those children who usually avoid books.

Eye Wonder: Dinosaurs takes young readers back in time to an age when dinosaurs ruled the earth, from gentle Jurassic giants and the terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex, to fearsome packs of Velociraptors and herds of Hadrosaurs.

The information in this book was too scattered, random, jumbled....
there was absolutely no flow to the text.
Some parts were printed over illustrations and were almost completely camouflaged making them very difficult to read.
The book did offer assistance with pronunciation, but some of it was not only contradictory to other pronunciation guides we have come across in other books, but it was contradictory within the book itself! There are several different nods to the barosaurus (three I believe) with two different pronunciations!
Not the best dino book.

This book was not my favorite in the books we are reading about dinosaurs. it was hard to read, literally, the words would melt into the background and I couldn't see them, and I have pretty good eyesight. The information was good and Owen seemed to enjoy it, but not nearly as much as others we have read.

Veidi juhuslikud infokillud. Aga suurem mure oli, et vahepeal oli väga raske lugeda, sest tekst oli väga tihti paigutatud otse kirjule või tumedale pildile. Lisaks, suht kindel, et see ei ole plaaster, millega dinosauruse luudest vorme võetakse :D

Well-written and informative, with computer-generated "photos" of dinosaurs in real habitats. It's fun when my kid asks for a science book for a bedtime story!
