There's nothing like rolling back into the small town where you were the dorkiest girl in school-and getting laid by the sexiest cowboy alive. As if that weren't enough, Casey Roark soon realizes this sexy rancher, Slade Debolt, the most drooled after guy around, didn't just want to bed her. He wanted her in every sense of the word. Sometimes fantasies do come true!
This was s a short, sweet, sensual (sex... but no explicit language), and HYSTERICAL read! Oh and nothing beats a sexy cowboy! A young girl moving back to her home town, and overcoming her fears of how she was treated as the town geek / pariah. She's worked hard, and is ready to shed her virginal burden. Not that she hasn't had experience or opportunity, but in her limited time off from work, none of her previous guys have inspired a real need/want to do so. The night she rolls back into town she decides enough is enough. She walks into the bar, and manages to proposition the town hottie. She's honest about her virginity, and requests just a great go at it, and no name. Of course he jumps at the opportunity, and blows her mind! Along the way however, she catches him off guard and he finds himself wanting way more than what she's offered. His pursuit to get her, the only woman in town who sees him as more than an object, is funny and beyond sweet. The relationship that develops between them adorable, and not full of angst and hurt and jealousy. He wants her, no one else, and he goes all out to get her to overcome her insecurities about her looks and believe how much he wants to be with her. A great feel good story!

Slade is the hottest thing in town.... a cowboy whose arrival on Saturday afternoon into the downtown area is a show stopping event....
Casey is a previous ugly duckling.... she grew up in this town and was mistreated and bullied but having left several years ago she returns to open her own business and try to undo all the damage done to her ..... however on her arrival she sees the biggest bully in her life on a billboard..she is now running for political office..... Casey heads for the local bar to get a drink and lose the V card.
Slade is stunned when she walks in propositions him with the v card , and no names.... he takes her hand and takes her home.
It is a night to remember, but Casey is guarded she has no faith in him and less in her own worth even now.
Slade however is intrigued, he pops up in different places during the time she is opening her store and still hiding.....
The story is short and sweet and you will fall in love with Slade he is a hot good old boy and Casey is PERFECT for him!
I really , really wanted to like this novella, but the formatting and editing were so difficult to overlook. This is a great book in theory, but so hard to read. For much of the book, I had no idea who was speaking, as two people sometimes shared a paragraph. The writer told a story, and the frantic, speech (from lack of periods) had me wondering for a while if this was the author's intention, to run on sentences to emphasize crazy thoughts running together-- but, nope. Formatting issues & Lack of a good editor are to blame. A darn shame too, as the writer tells a great story (once you've deciphered who's talking). Simple plot. Engaging main characters.
