Originally published under the title Letting Go, three years ago, this is Morrie Schwartz's enlightened and compassionate philosophy of living, written as he was battling the effects of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Sadly, Morrie died before the book was published. A year later, though, a former student of Morrie's, Mitch Albom, wrote Tuesdays with Morrie, chronicling Morrie's impact on his life. This book is, as the title says, Morrie in his own words, his invaluable legacy to us all.
Every time I read about Morrie I'm filled with knowledge, insight & renewed faith in God & people. No matter how many times you read this it will make you feel good.
This is a little book short book written by Morrie as he dealt with ALS. One powerful phrase from the book is "Learn to live, and you will know how to die, learn to die and you'll know how to live". A book highly recommended for anyone with a terminal illness as well as their caregivers.
I loved everything in it. So much wisdom that I cannot pass without thinking about it and passing it on to others. I think i will recommend it to every loved one of mine to read.
I've read a couple books on happiness, overcoming self doubt and living your life to the fullest. This book by far is the best of those that I've read. Morrie shares his thoughts and advice about the self, life and people through his observations in his own life and as he deals with Lou Gehrig's disease. So many of these thoughts I found very profound, took them to heart and am going to apply in my own life. I highly recommend this book as a read for anyone and everyone.
