Some Trees... and a Few Flowers

Rate this book
From the "To my surprise I found recently that I have written more 'Nature Poetry' than I thought I had. I don’t see myself as any kind of John Clare or any of the so-called Romantic poets for whom 'Nature' was such an inspiration - especially Wordsworth, who I’m sure most keen-eyed readers will soon realise has been a considerable influence upon my formative years. Nevertheless, the relative wildness of heath, woodland, and fields, even Nature in nicely-dressed array, such as we find in many parks and gardens, has often moved me to write."
