This book contains many short stories, many we already know and some you never heard of. The boy who cried wolf, the tortoise and the hare, the wolf and the stork, are all ones we know. Some new ones are the jackdaw and the pigeons, the fox and the crow, the traveler and the bear. They are all stories that have lessons that you can learn things from, and they are a little wild too.

1. Here you could have the students give their interpretations of the moral to the story.

2. Have the students group up and make a fable of their own.

Aesop’s Funky Fables by Vivan French and Korky Paul – Really enjoyed reading these adjusted (but not too much) with the alliteration, sound words, and entertaining stories. Had fun conversations comparing the fables to the originals, etc.
