The Split Mind: Schizophrenia from an Insider's Point of View

Rate this book
“The Split Mind” is a hybrid of a memoir and reference book on the subject of schizophrenia. As a patient with schizophrenia, I have written about my personal experiences with this illness, in addition to the scientific facts that are known about my disease. For the most part, my target audience is other patients with schizophrenia, and their family members and friends. My hope is that by sharing my personal experiences with a mental disability, I can help other persons cope with their own vulnerabilities.

I would recommend "The Center Cannot Hold" or "Angelhead" over this one on the topic of schizophrenia.

The author argues briefly that everyone who attempts suicide must be mentally ill and the full argument would be either trivial or tautological.
