I really enjoyed this book, it's loaded with raw sexuality and sex, not much of a story line but that was okay with me. I like Ms. Hawke's writing style. I plowed through this read. If you love a hot hot read with two sexy as vampires you're going love this one. I'm hoping that she has a follow book to this one, she certainly left it open for one. Please Ms. Hawke???

This is a rather interesting book. I don't know quite how to describe it other then that. Lots of romance and then it turns weird. I mean, vampires sprouting rainbow wings and walking on ceilings is just a little too much for me.

I certainly liked the different take on vampires in this book but I thought it ended abruptly. There just felt like there was more to the story that could have been told.

Pretty good, it is what it is; a basic storyline with a bit of hot supernatural sex.

No drawn-out literary seductions here; the characters are getting down and into the sex part by page 20. There have been books where I have thought to myself "Will you GET ON with it already!" ... not this one.

Suspension of disbelief is heavily required for those first few pages: While there have doubtless been occasions where a young man knocked on a strangers train door, said "Let's fuck" and it worked, I suspect, not many of them.

Also, while I do get bored by vampire novels where the main human refuses to believe they are real for ever and ever, immediate acceptance followed by an invitation to do anything he likes to her... suspension of disbelief working it’s hardest. Pun intended.

The rest is pretty good up to the end which was... random. We start to learn about a huge supernatural world, but then the novel just ends. We find out she can fly, and the story just ceases, We find that she is not really, totally a vampire... the end.

I suspect I catch the scent of sequels on the horizon.

If you liked "passion's vintage", you will love this book.

The idea is similar: vampires who are fed not just with blood but mainly with talent. There are two vampires and one is more experienced than a other one. One girl not that innocent, but still scared of what is about to happen to her. A menage in the end that completes and satisfies all of them.

In this story a talented young woman, Elaine, is travelling by train from Italy to Prague. Aramis is seducing her not hiding the fact that he is a vampire. He wants to keep her and protect her.
Rafael is the second vampire who is older, equally gorgeous and possibly the creator of Aramis that they will meet later. Both they will turn Elaine and the three of them will become a union.

The book has basically 3 distinctively parts:
1. Elaine's seduction by Aramis in the train.
2. Elaine, Aramis and Rafael at Rafael's house in Prague. Elaine becomes a vampire.
3. The three of them at Rafael's castle at Carpathian mountains. You may be lost in this part. Too many not particularly logical things happen there. Rainbows and butterflies and huge birds.

Expect a lot of biting, a lot of blood and a lot of erotic scenes.

One of the earlier works of Ms. Hawke I read when it first came out. I enjoyed this delicious menage of vampire and human. One of my first paranormal menages and it's so good. I definitely wanted more of this. Ms. Hawke really knows how to write a hot hot scene.

This one is quick and once again the female is rather lethal. I like this about Ms. Hawke's female leads. Highly recommended for a smooth sensual read for paranormal menage lovers.

Oh, this book was SMOKIN! Almost my idea fantasy! There where a few things that annoyed me, which is why I did not give the book 5 stars.

1. Who the heck agrees to fuck someone that quickly? It just doesn't happen, thus it was not believable!

2. Where is the rest of the book? It was going good, but then just ended with only about a BILLION unanswered questions. NOT COOL!

Otherwise, it was a wonderful read.

Alright compaired to some of her other books this one sucked. It took a long time for the sex to stop and the story to start. (Don't get me wrong I enjoyed those scenes too) And then just as you are starting to get to know the other charactors more it just up and ends.......in the most hastly way. LAME! Not to mention that there are no other books in this series......so basically I feel like I got ripped off on this one.

I enjoyed the book. However, I liked Hawke's other books better. While one does not normally read Hawke's books for her engaging dialogue between the characters, I found the conversations between the characters in this book to be almost too silly to read. The ultimate vampiric menage fantasy.

Elaine’s fantasies come true when Aramis, a handsome vampire, intrudes into her private train compartment while she travels to Prague. She is an artist and a vampire’s fan, who even has a set of vampire fangs caps as part of her Goth girl’s wardrobe. Aramis is lured by her rich creativity. His kind feeds on people’s souls and talent simultaneously with their blood, while having sex.

Aramis asks for her company for the night. Elaine is seduced at first sight by his raw masculinity, but she resists what could be a dangerous one night stand. When Aramis discovers Elaine’s vampiric books, he reveals to her his true nature. She still doubts, her instincts warn her of a danger her body refuses to discern. Aramis, on those first chapters, is one of the coolest characters I came across in a long time. I love his mischievous wit and charm, his interplay with Elaine made me laugh.

Aramis asks, “May I have you for the night?” So many times, that at one point I thought, “Just grab her and be done with it!” Well, there is a reason for all his politeness. In order to properly take what he needs from Elaine, Aramis has to initiate her in a sexual magic of some kind, which includes some parts that could be perceived as a forced seduction, therefore he needs her previous consent. Permission he would remind her about when his sexual appetites are more than she is willing to yield. I won’t spoil the details, I’m just warning you that the cute and kind Aramis from the first chapters soon is gone, he becomes an alpha male once he possesses her. Shortly before reaching Prague, Aramis finds out Elaine unknowingly consigned herself to an evil vampire, Dimitri. Who would take all her creativity and soul, until she’s dead.

Aramis feels responsible for Elaine because in order to take her essence without pain, he made her a thrall, an easy prey for any vampire. At least, during nine days she would be vulnerable, that’s plenty of time for Dimitri to take her beyond saving. The only way to protect her is putting Elaine under Rafael’s protection. Rafael is a young looking but ancient and powerful vampire, a leader to their kind. From that point on, Elaine’s life changes forever. I like Elaine’s character a lot, she’s brave, realistic and eventually defends herself, and fights Dimitri without Aramis or Rafael’s help.

Insatiable is different from any vampiric book I’d read. The first chapters consist of a romance between Aramis and Elaine, and the rest of the book is a menage a trois between Aramis, Rafael and Elaine. This last part is not for everybody. The erotism moves to BDSM with Elaine being the submissive one between her two new masters.

There are a couple of scenes in where the sex between Rafael and Aramis gets hinted. I say hinted, because it happens while they are having sex with Elaine and it’s not as explicit as the scenes where either of them is having sex with her.

Morgan Hawke’s unique writing style flowing smoothly makes Insatiable a page turner. I read it in two sittings. However, there is an author’s habit that I didn’t like, and it’s that she repeats whole exacts phases or/and descriptions throughout the narrative. Some parts look like copying/pasting, something which I don’t understand why she does, because she’s a talented and imaginative writer. In spite of it, I still recommend Insatiable as a great read, if one likes erotic explicit paranormal romance.

Hmmm... This one's hard to review. I didn't love it but I did like it a lot. It was VERY hot M/M/F, and a quick read that didn't tax my brain too much. The issue of force vs. consent at the beginning of the book was a little iffy and I can see how it would be a problem for some readers, but it was written just well enough that it made me OK with it. I loved the emotions between Aramis and Rafael. I thought their interaction with Elaine was sort of "cute", for lack of a better word. They treat her like their child (which she was, in vampire terms) as well as a lover, which could easily be interpreted as somewhat incestuous, but somehow it squeezed by without tripping my "ick" meter. I can't exactly call this a "fluffy" read, but it didn't have a lot of depth, either. And it wasn't "dark", but it had "dark-ish" potential, if that makes any sense. I agree with another reviewer who said it ended abruptly and felt like there should have been more. One final thought... Uh, hello, art department at Kensington...? Could you possibly make the guy on the cover look any less like either of the heroes in the book? This cover is horrible!

At her best, MH writes vivid, lushly detailed worlds with highly erotic but still character driven stories. I have to admit that I prefer her when she's more expansive, but I'll take what I can get; 200 pages is better than none. This is sort of a continuation of the world she set up with Kiss of the Wolf, set in the present, but also ties into Passion's Vintage in terms of vampires feeding on artistic energy as well as blood, which I wasn't expecting.

At the end, I enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to the next book in the series, but there's still so much room to explore in Elaine, Aramis and Rafael's relationship that I really hope that the next book in the series is a continuation of their story, or at least brings them back -- I was kind of disappointed in the absence of Thorn and Yaraslav from this book, but MH did bring Belus in for an appearance. It will be interesting to see where she takes his character in the future.

Having deja vu with this one since it's basically a remake of her e-book Nighttrain with a few extra chapters added on to the end. I wonder if it was one of those stories where something got cut that later she regretted cutting and then was able to put in when she got more clout as an author... I just wish that she had put a note to her readers letting us know it was a remake. Many authors have done this and have had the decency to do so and at least then I am not feeling confused thinking, "Haven't I read this before? I checked the title, nope never heard of it. Checked isbn, not in my goodreads. Checked the date of publishing: says first trade paperback; must be new!"

Based on Hawke's Interstellar Service series, I expected more from this book than I got. It was a solid read, but it was missing that something extra that would push it into a spectacular read.

Aramis and Elaine's first meeting was intriguing and we learned a lot about Elaine in those first few pages. Unfortunately, we never really learned any more. In fact, I really felt as if we only got the surface of all three main characters, never getting any depth of history or emotion. Elaine wasn't written to be immature or shallow, but she read that way to me because of the lack of depth.

That said, it was still a hot read and I'd be willing to give these characters another chance.

Bought on a whim, this is the first erotica novel I read. Not having anything else to compare it to, I can only say that the sex scenes were totally hot, and this book took the place of my porn-watching for the couple of days it took to read it. The plot was a little bit cliche at first, but there's a slight twist at the end which made me wish it was a great deal longer.

At any rate, if, like me, you're new to erotica, this is a good quick read. There are probably other books that are better, but it's a good little book.

I must say that I love Morgan Hawke's books. She has great characters and great stories. I would have given this 5 stars, but I liked Kiss of the Wolf better. However, I am hoping that there is more to the Insatiable story!

If you like good smut, this book and all of Morgan Hawke's books are for you. She is one of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading more.

Apparently this is the same story as Insatiable, but that one is an expanded version. So I'll mark this as read and give it 5 stars, even though I read the longer version. I will go back and read this one, because I loved Insatiable so much. Curious to see how they compare. I took a look and the beginning and ending are the same.

Very good book! Love the PNR aspects and the characters. When I started this, I had no clue that it was set in the same world as Kiss of the Wolf, which I also loved so that was a bonus. :-) There one or two scenes that made me a little uncomfortable, but overall I thought it was hot and a good read. Would definitely read more from this author!
