Much Ado
Turns out life as a drag queen isn't what Shawn thought it would be. He loves the costumes and dressing up, but he's found he's better suited to performing from a script than vamping onstage. Too bad Shawn figured this out long after breaking up with Roscoe when his bossy director boyfriend told him he didn't have what it would take.
Two years later, Shawn may not be wildly happy but he's content. That is until Roscoe shows up to ask him to reprise his role as Beatrice in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Roscoe is as magnetic as he's always been and the spark between them is still burning bright.

This was a charming and sweet second chance romance.
Roscoe lost something and he wants it back. Shawn found out that sometimes the thing you think you want, isn't what you really wanted, and what you want you're not sure you can have anymore.
The title kinda made me want more; I kept waiting for references to Much Ado About Nothing and aside from the briefest of allusions to the title, they were absent. *Sad face* Beatrice and Benedick are my favorite couple in ALL of Shakespeare's plays and Beatrice is certainly my most beloved of his heroines. So I had hoped for some witty repartee and sniping, but alas, no.
Nonetheless, it was a delightful short story.

Be sure to read About Something first. This is kind of a sequel, and you will understand the backstory better.
