Finding a stranger in the middle of the night on her bathroom floor in Okinawa, closing her dress in the door of a departing cab in Athens, and almost losing her mother-in-law to the running bulls in Spain are just a few examples of why she constantly hears, "It could only happen to you!"

This book was given to me by a friend who knew the author and her husband in Rochester, NY. Sotry reads like a diary of their military journey. Good humor and interesting to learn about life in some interesting military base areas.

This book was written by a high school friend of one of my friends. The author, a Navy wife, went through so much from 1969-1986, including 26 moves! At that time, money allowances led to awful living conditions in so many places, yet the author lived through it mostly humorously, I think! Very interesting book!

Written in a conversational tone. I learned several things and enjoyed her stories. Wonderful record for her family.
