3,5 estrellas. Leído el vol5 del #manwha ¿Qué le pasa a la secretaria Kim? Aunque necesita una revisión de los textos y es algo más plano que los anteriores, la edición sigue siendo preciosa y me ha 😍😍 ver cómo avanza su relación. Esos pantalones de pijama!!

The main couple deals with the fallout of last volume's big reveal, and now with all their enemies vanquished can move on to dealing with the red flags in their own relationship.

It really seems like everything could have been wrapped up in this volume, but I like the characters so I don't mind hanging out with them for one more book.

Penúltimo volumen de este maravilloso manhwa y me da pena que la historia llegue a su fin porque es una de las comedias románticas que más estoy disfrutando.

En este quinto volumen todos los problemas por fin se solucionan. Yeongjun arregla todos los asuntos familiares con sus padres y hermano, todo lo que había ocultado sobre aquel incidente del pasado que le unía a Miso sale a la luz y les une más que nunca. La relación de Miso y Yeongjun va viento en popa, tanto es así que al vicepresidente le cuesta llevarlo en secreto de lo feliz y enamorado que está, por lo que se acaba descubriendo todo. Y el final es la guinda del pastel, unas vacaciones a solas de la pareja que acaba en un momento tan romántico que mi corazón casi explota.

Como siempre, esta historia no decepciona, y es que mezcla el romance y la comedia de una forma perfecta. Tengo muchas ganas de leer el desenlace y espero que no tarde mucho en llegar.

Me moría de ganas por leer este nuevo tomo 🩵.

Al fin toda la tensión acumulada entre ambos personajes se va resolviendo, pero no dejan de ser adorables. Leer esta historia es como ver un kdrama, aunque haya momentos malos, sé que el cómputo final me va a encantar.

Estoy deseando terminar esta historia, aunque a la vez me dará mucha pena acabarla.

No sucede nada interesante. Podrían pasarse la historia y olvidarla sin más. Carece de argumento y personajes con personalidad.

Gah, I'm sad to think that the next volume is the final volume in this series!!

I was quite shocked by a lot of things that took place in this volume because previously I was VERY upset with Youngjun's parents and how they acted and handled things in the past. Imagine my shock when things have FINALLY come out and they are apologizing and admitting that what they did was cowardly! :o

As a parent, I totally get how hard parenthood can be but it still boils my blood at how they handled things. I was completely amazed at the conversation they had with Youngjun and how he responded to things they said because I honestly can't imagine it ever being that easy. I guess it goes to show how much Miso has changed his life because I could imagine he would have held onto resentment and bitterness A LOT longer.

And speaking of her, our leads are officially a couple! SQUEALS!! Having read this digitally, I definitely forgot how steamy this volume was! LOL! But seeing them freely be together and have no more secrets between them was so wonderful and made me deeply happy as a reader! The ending is even more so!!! EEEEPPP!!

There were many things I very much enjoyed about this volume, but I definitely think the healing between this family that has been broken for so long was the most moving part! Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the romance! But with how heartbreaking things were last volume, I never expected to see a very beautiful and healing reunion take place.

Very much enjoying this series and looking forward to seeing what happens next! (Also I'm looking forward to seeing more of Miso's Dad because he is hilarious! LOL!)

I loved how everything was handled. Everyone in that family suffered from Youngjun’s trauma. Now, they can all work to rebuild. I didn’t like Sungyeon for most of the series but I’ll admit I was wrong about him. He was traumatized in his own way. Mental illness can change people. He has a long way to go to figure out who he really is but I do wish him the best.

I loved seeing all the happy moments between Youngjun and Miso!!! Happiness finally! And love!!! Lots of it lol. Not spicy though so don’t worry!

I honestly thought Miso would say no to the proposal she seemed really nervous about it. The volume was a bit crazy/scary because of the friend almost outing her relationship, Youngjun coming out with their relationship in front of everyone, and then the fight immediately after. I was worried they would break up but it all worked out and that is amazing, I am excited for volume 6.

Casi no me termino este tomo, pero por fin lo logré.
3,5 ESTRELLAS.

La verdad es que no estoy muy enganchada con la historia como para necesitar terminarla en una maratoneada. Me gusto mucho el papá Miso, me recordó un poco al papá de Haruhi de Ouran High Host Club aunque este no es tan excéntrico jaja. También me gusto mucho la reconciliación que hubo en la familia del vicepresidente y como se están curando las heridas del pasado traumático que vivió la familia con el secuestro.

Un punto un poco negativo es la forma en que se comporto el prota y el ataque de celos absurdo que tuvo, eso me descoloco y me desagrado en cierta manera. Fue por la cosa más absurda de la vida, pero Miso se dio su lugar y arreglo la situación.

En general la historia es entretenida aunque no es la gran cosa del universo.

Ya dije que me encantan las escenas cochinas pero cuidadas?
Este manhwa tiene mucho de eso y creo que está re bien. Se puede identificar correctamente todo lo que hacen pero siempre cuidadito para el lector menor de edad.
Miso tambien está enamorada hasta el tuétano y me encanta porque a pesar de todo lo que sabe, se da cuenta de que lo amaba de antes aunque el pobre tenga sus momentos a lo "vicepresidente"
Ahora solo queda ver cómo hacen la cochinada libres y felices y CASARSE DE UNA VEZ.
Cabe aclarar que morí de risa contando las veces que el pobre vicepresidente fue rechazado. Esta historia lo tiene todo. El humor nunca sobra y está en los momentos juntos, como el amor y lo tiernosito. ¿Qué decir? Me encantan!

Beh, mi sembra che la relazione tra i nostri protagonisti proceda a gonfie vele 🤣 hanno pure la benedizione dei rispettivi genitori (il padre di Miso mi ha fatto morire dal ridere), ormai non hanno più bisogno di mantenere il segreto visto che il resto dei dipendenti è al corrente della cosa, ci danno dentro sotto tutti i punti di vista 😉, e il big boss ha già pronta la promessa di matrimonio. Devo dire che in questi ultimi volumi, Youngjun ha mostrato un lato diverso del suo carattere rispetto a quanto visto nei primissimi capitoli: continuo a non capire la fretta con cui viene portata avanti questa relazione, però mi rendo anche conto che quel poverino ha aspettato 9 anni (addirittura 23, se si parte dal loro primo incontro) prima di poter dare voce ai suoi sentimenti. Se non altro non è un altro orrido instalove.

La cosa che ho apprezzato di più di questo quinto volume, però, è un'altra, ovvero i rapporti all'interno della famiglia Lee - il rapimento di Youngjun ha segnato l'inizio di un periodo difficile per questa famiglia, tutti hanno sofferto e tutti hanno qualcosa di cui scusarsi. Sungyeon non si è comportato particolarmente bene, però anche lui, all'epoca dei fatti, era solo un ragazzino: il senso di colpa deve essere stato terribile; inoltre, non deve essere stato facile vivere all'ombra di una persona che sapeva attirare l'interesse e l'affetto di tutti, a partire da quello dei genitori. Quindi, c'è ancora molta strada da fare, ma, per la prima volta, genitori e figli si confrontano in maniera sincera e onesta. Ad esempio, Youngjun capisce che la sua finta amnesia ha sì permesso di mantenere una sorta di status quo, ma di fatto non ha permesso al fratello di ottenere l'aiuto psicologico di cui aveva bisogno. I genitori, nel tentativo di portare un pochino di serenità, hanno deciso di credere a quella bugia e hanno lasciato che le incomprensioni tra i figli continuassero. Peraltro sanno anche di non aver mostrato lo stesso livello di affetto ai due ragazzi. Sempre su questa linea, pure Youngjun ammette di non aver trattato sempre benissimo il fratello maggiore: senso di superiorità da parte sua e invidia da parte di Sungyeon, un mix micidiale. Dopo più di vent'anni di silenzi, è finalmente giunto il tempo dei chiarimenti.
Adesso manca solo l'ultimo volume per vedere come si concluderà la storia e che ne sarà di Miso, Youngjun e del resto della banda 🤗

Mlle Alice, pouvez-vous nous raconter votre rencontre avec Secrétaire Kim ?
"C'est un des manhwas que l'on croise le plus souvent dans les librairies mais dans un premier temps, les couvertures m'avaient moins attirée que True Beauty, puis j'ai fini par craquer bien sûr."

Dites-nous en un peu plus sur son histoire...
"Kim Mi-So est la secrétaire de Lee Yeong-jun depuis neuf ans déjà lorsqu'elle lui annonce qu'elle démissionne. À l'approche de la trentaine, elle veut pouvoir enfin accorder un peu de temps à sa vie personnelle. Sauf que son patron va très vite se rendre compte qu'il ne peut pas se passer d'elle..."

Mais que s'est-il exactement passé entre vous ?
"J'ai adoré ! Vraiment ! D'ailleurs, je suis allée acheter les tomes 2 à 6 dès que j'ai eu terminé le premier et j'ai ensuite enchaîné avec le drama, c'est dire. C'est une intrigue très classique mais bien menée, et je me suis beaucoup amusée avec Kim Mi-So, complètement hermétique aux colères de son patron que tout le monde craint pourtant. On ne languit pas non plus pendant des tomes et des tomes, d'ailleurs il n'y en a que six au total, ce qui est parfait, et leur histoire d'amour est très vite une évidence tout en évoluant en douceur. J'ai peut-être un peu moins accroché à l'histoire de l'enlèvement, essentiellement à cause du frère, que je trouve juste insupportable, mais j'ai aimé que l'on explore des sujets et des émotions différents selon les chapitres, qu'on ne reste pas en surface, avec des scènes parfois très dures même."

Et comment cela s'est-il fini ?
"Ce n'est peut-être pas utile de le redire mais c'est un coup de coeur. Le dernier tome est un petit peu comme un bonus à lui tout seul, l'histoire aurait pu se terminer plus tôt mais on ne va pas se plaindre d'en avoir plus.

Un dernier petit mot pour souligner le travail de la maison d'édition, KBooks/Delcourt. Pour le moment, c'est de loin celle que je préfère, autant pour les choix des histoires que pour le rendu de l'objet. Et un carnet est même offert avec le dernier tome. Bravo."

Today's manga post is on What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?, Vol. 5 by MyeongMi Kim (artist) and Jeong Gyeong-yun (original author). It is 272 pages long and is published by Yen Press. The cove is blue with Miso Kim in the center. As it is the fifth volume, you need to have read the first four to understand the story. The story is told from third person following closely to Miso and Youngjun. There is mild foul language, mild sexuality, and no violence in this manga. The intended reader is someone who likes silly, office romances. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the manga- Now that Miso has regained her memories, she and Youngjun are closer than ever! But before they can truly start the next chapter of their lives together, Youngjun and his family must first face the immense pain their actions have caused. Will past tragedy continue to tear them apart, or will they finally mend what’s been broken?

Review- All the secrets of the past are out now. Miso remembers what happened and who she was with when she was kidnapped. Miso and Youngjun have a good heart-to-heart and decide to move forward together. Miso's dad is also in this volume and he's pretty funny. He wants to pretend to be a disapproving dad to make Youngjun work harder. It's not over done, so it's funny. But the biggest plot moment for me was when Youngjun and his brother have it out. They clear the air and make peace with each other. The volume ends with Youngjun proposing to Miso and her accepting. I'm look forward to the next volume to see what happens next.

I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I borrowed this manga from my local library.

Una visión general del manwha ya que se acerca el final:
Todo empieza y termina con la secretaria Kim. Una mujer trabajadora y responsable con gran carácter, que se presiona hasta los límites, con dos hermanas protectoras y un padre muy loco (una familia disfuncional pero unida) a la que ha tenido que cuidar. Kim siempre antepone a todos, decide pensar en sí misma por primera vez, pero el egocéntrico de su jefe, un niño rico mimado, decide que no.

El jefe es un genio, mentalmente es insuperable, aunque unos años atrás Kim se esforzaba tanto que se acercaba a sus resultados. Eso hace que en el plano sentimental sea un inútil, como si retrasen en cierta manera a un aspergen, pero no. Tan solo tiene una gran opinión de sí mismo como ser perfecto y narcisista que es.

Hubo momentos divertidos y absurdos, usando al jefe como un personaje cómico. También hubo momentos poco creíbles que provocaron una trama plana y aburrida. Las tramas que rodean a los protagonistas resultan demasiado obvias desde el inicio. Los malentendidos cómicos a veces resultaban hasta cargantes. El peor personaje por supuesto el hermano del jefe, pero también toda su familia. La verdad que la trama que rodea al hermano fue una trama absurda de principio a fin.

Tenía mucha mejor pinta cuando empezó, el primer tomo introductorio pero de rápida lectura. Pero según iban pasando, se iba haciendo todo más cuesta arriba.

Dopo le rivelazioni dello scorso volume i vari tasselli stanno andando ognuno al loro posto e Miso può finalmente vivere ciò che ha sempre voluto, dei momenti spensierati senza dover riparare a ciò che gli altri hanno fatto e tenere a galla tutto da sola. Eppure la storia d’amore con il suo capo è ancora nascosta e dirlo potrebbe non essere così semplice.
Il volume prende una nuova piega, più leggera e spensierata. I problemi sono più semplici da gestire soprattutto se vengono affrontati insieme. Vedremo tutti i vari personaggi chiave dei volumi precedenti trovare la loro collocazione e finalmente vedere l’amore di Miso e il suo capo sbocciare come merita.
I personaggi di questo volume vengono approfonditi ancora di più, soprattutto il capo di Miso e il fratelli di Yungjoon, veri protagonisti del volume scorso. Ho amato come le scene d’amore si sviluppino in maniera estremamente naturale e consequenziale a ciò che dicono e fanno, ognuna di loro sarà emozionante e appassionante. Una degna quasi conclusione della loro storia d’amore perché in verità c’è ancora un ultimo volume, il sesto, che porterà davvero alla fine la storia della dolce e appassionata segretaria Kim.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim follows Kim Miso who is the secretary to Lee Youngjun, the CEO of a company. When Miso decides to quit to start living her life, Youngjun ends up in a spiral and will do anything to keep Miso with him as his secretary.
I mean I feel like my review of this series is always going to be me going on and on about how much I love it.
This volume was different from the others because we really see a deep connection between Miso and Youngjun in this volume of the manhwa. I loved seeing them come together and really start to trust and love each other in this. I thought the art in this volume was just absolutely gorgeous as it always is. I really loved seeing them trying to find their rhythm and really connect with each other.
I cannot wait for the next volume to come out because the ending of this volume had me so giddy and happy. If you have any interest in reading this manhwa, I would highly recommend picking it up.

This was cheesy in a cringey way. I enjoyed reading it but oof there were times I had to set it down cause I was laughing so hard at what was supposed to be a cute moment. On the plus side though the brother that I hate with every fiber of my being got some serious character growth and I wish him well (off page of course).

This is the ✨spiciest✨ installment so far with a whole chapter of them having sex and although the visuals aren’t graphic it is definitely not glossed over if that makes sense.

One more installment to go!

Questo è stato il volume più bello della serie.
Non c'è stata solo un'evoluzione del rapporto tra i due protagonisti, ma si sono anche risolti tutti i problemi che erano ancora rimasti in sospeso, in particolare la situazione tra il vicepresidente e suo fratello maggiore.
Insomma, tutto è ben quel che finisce bene e non c'è nulla che dia più soddisfazione in un fumetto, ma adesso attendo con trepidazione il vero ultimo volume del manhua!

Mi è piaciuto molto! Lui mi ha fatta sciogliere più volte, occhi a cuoricino a go go, e scoppiare a ridere per il suo solito ego smisurato. Questo volume è stato abbastanza lineare, è accaduto ciò che ci si aspettava, ma forse a questo punto va bene anche così. Alcuni dialoghi mi son sembrati un po' strani, poco naturali.
Non vedo l'ora di leggere il prossimo!
