A gripping and mind-bending thriller!
Los casos Black Velvet by Aníbal A. Quesada Campos is a fantastic read that had me hooked from the very first page. The premise is incredibly unique, blending a traditional FBI manhunt with a dark, psychological, and almost dream-like atmosphere.
The story follows Jane, a businesswoman plagued by terrifying visions, and Mike, a veteran FBI agent obsessed with catching a faceless killer dressed in black. The way the author connects these characters through a shared dreamscape is brilliantly executed. I really appreciated that this isn't just your standard police procedural; it challenges the reader alongside the characters with a series of mental, physical, and scientific puzzles that all tie back to the mysterious "Black Velvet" department.
The author has crafted a fast-paced, highly atmospheric mystery with excellent tension. If you enjoy thrillers that keep you guessing and constantly blur the line between reality and psychological suspense, I cannot recommend this book enough!
